Closing the distance has no date

And it's bothering me... I guess I should be ecstatic to have at least a rough plan of closing the distance, but not having an exact date bothers me. My SO has to wait until this bank gives him a loan before he quits his job. Which could happen tomorrow, in 2 weeks, or in another month. Then he has to work a month in his job before he leaves. I don't know... I'm just very anxious every day to know if TODAY IS THE DAY HE GETS THE LOAN. If I knew a date that he would be here it would help me out, give me something to look forward to. But it's all just up in the air and it sort of bums me out...

But at least he's gonna move in... right?! Let me be happy and stop complaining!

You aren't alone in not knowing. I have NO idea. When his house sells...he moves. Nothing till then. I understand. (((Hugs)))

I totally understand. My SO and I have a general plan of me getting there in about 6 months, which feels like hell on earth right now. We have so many things we're depending on and I don't have anything to hold on to for the move - no plane ticket, no date, no confirmed visa... it's so disheartening sometimes.

I have no idea when my SO and I will close the distance. I can't imagine it would be anytime prior to 2012. We haven't really discussed it. I think we are happy with things the way they are for right now. We're both pursuing separate career paths right now, so until some of those items fall into place, we'll be apart

When we love, it isn't because the person's perfect, it's because we learn to see an imperfect person perfectly.

True love does not worry about the distance between, for the heart and soul travels through one's words

Yea Im kind of in the same dilemma...Me and my SO have talked about an endstate but nothing set in stone. We are both in the military and he is deploying for a year at the end of May... I also have 2 and a half years left till I can as we say.. "Divorce the army".

Its either He moves to be with me when he gets back ( Louisiana/Missouri), I move to be with him when im out of the Army (Minnesota) or we just move somewhere else (Texas ??) ugh pretty annoying dont like the not knowing!!

            I hate this too :/
For my and my SO it could be at the end of this semester, it could be in another 4/5 years.
He doesn't want to move to the city I'm currently living in, and he has good reasons.
I'm going to a university with a great program for my major...but I could move closer and take at least gen eds at the local tech for a year or two, then only have to move away again for not even a year to finish up the classes that apply to my major.

It is the fact that you don't have anything to grasp, nothing to count down to, nothing solid, that drives you freaking crazy O_o

I'm in a similar situation not having an exact date. We know it'll happen before the summer. We will hopefully have a more concrete idea in the next few weeks.
