There will be more visits before we move, but we cant visit for months at a time because of school, its just not doable. and 6-8 months wait, isnt doable once again because of school, thatd mean we'd be moving in the middle of a semester. We are planning on moving in together in August, which is before both of us start a new semester of school. That gives us the whole summer to plan and figure things out. Its not like we just all of a sudden decided "hey we want to live together", we have been discussing this for months and figuring things out.

I don't know how old I'll be when we do move in together. If all goes well, I'll be moving there this year, but renting a room in his mum's house. Sounds strange, but it works for us and seems to keep parents on both ends happy. He's currently living with his sister, not too far away from their mum's place. It works for us because we're waiting for marriage too. I was up there for 3 weeks sharing a room with him and though we didn't have sex, it was very hard to keep it that way!
To help them be more supportive of the idea, let them in on the planning. Plan trips and visits that involve you meeting each other's parents so they can spend more time with the two of you together and get more comfortable about your relationship. Talk to them about your plans to get married and how the distance has had it's good points and bad points, but now you both feel that it is time to close the distance. Promise they'd be the first people you turn to should you need any kind of help and remind them that you love them for looking out for you. You could maybe even involve them in the search for a place to live!

Hello all, so just an update. My SO and I sat down online the other day and made up a budget plan and move in plan. He showed his parents and they are more accepting of the move now.
They saw how serious we were about the move in the fact that we took the time to write out a budget and etc. So, the only thing left to do is for me to tell my mom which I will do when I go home for summer vacation from College. Don't want to tell her over the phone 
And after that we are free to start working towards our move in Its going to be a lot of work but I believe it will be well worth it!
