A big changing mirror, she's been needing that for almost a year now.

And I think we will also be visiting Victoria's Secret together for some hot red underwear or slipdress.. Ho ho ho ho

I'm doing xmas/birthday presents combined (he had the misfortune of being born on Boxing Day) and since I won't be seeing him for xmas I had to do everything well in advance. I don't have a credit/debit card (I live in a country where they are a very rare commodity) so I had to get a friend of ours to order a book that I know he's going to love, and she gave it to me (or rather sneaked it into my purse) when we were visiting her last month. I left it in his apartment, in a place I know he never looks into (but I did leave a note that he wasn't to touch it without my express instructions, just in case) and I'll tell him about it a while before the holidays so he can give it to his mother to wrap. The other present is a bit better planned, so it'll be a nice surprise. I bought him a shirt and gave it to his mother during my last visit. So at least he won't see that one coming! Just hope it fits.

I'm knitting him a warm hat (he got knitted warm socks last christmas) otherwise I haven't really thought of anything yet.
For our anniversary I made a photo book of our first year and gave it to him on my last visit. It may turn into a tradition
        We shall see!

I'm probably going to give him cash for half of his new phone. Though, since we've combined finances, it doesn't really matter. Sigh. Not a very good gift. Practical, but not "exciting".

I bought us tickets a while ago for a concert the weekend before Christmas in DC, so we'll be taking a trip there. I'm planning on surprising him with the trip.

            A messenger bag
An Old-fashioned Glass (the posh name for whiskey glass )
            2 sweaters
            Sweatpants
            Travel mug
            Underwear and socks

I couldn't think of a "Big" thing, so I got a load of random stuff instead!

Edit: my original idea was to get tickets for a few Colorado Rapids games because he loves soccer, but the tickets for next season won't be on sale before Christmas, so boo, maybe for his birthday!

I already bought him my Christmas gift. He's a fan of Pokemon and the newest Pokemon game for 3DS has now been released in the Philippines, soooo I lined up in the mall to get him this:

                  A Nintendo 3DS Pokemon Y edition. He's such a kiddo at heart.

Actually, you can get US dollars at just about any major bank world wide. Here in Costa Rica, we pay our rent in USD.

I am not sure if I will be getting my SO any Christmas gifts! He is a Muslim (a bit ambivalent about God but that is his connection) living in muslim Turkey, so is it really appropriate? It is not like he will have anyone asking him what he got for Christmas. But perhaps no-one will find getting more presents rude?

In case I will get him anyhing, perhaps I might just as well give it to him when he comes to visit in January. Also, in February there is both his birthday and Valentine... Gifts I have thought about include music, homebaked cookies/Christmas cakes, films (I have talked about introducing him to Norwegian scary movies) and perhaps some...artistic pictures of myself. Also, I might ask SO' best friend what he might be happy about (I can ask him myself of course, but then there will be less of a surprise).

I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain

I guess it depends on where he lives. In the Philippines, we use our own money so we use the dollars we receive as souvenirs in our wallets. Haha!

They've been banned in Argentina . You can only find dollars in the black market. It's referred to as el dolar blue.

Honey, if you're reading this, go away! Go away and don't click the button!

                              Spoiler:
He knows how much I'm spending on this first trip $$$ (count flight costs, insurance, first time overseas - buying up on all the winter gear, thermals, bag, boots, etc etc, not to mention Christmas gifts for his very large family - all very pricey!) so his gift will be me coming over there That said, I'm giving all his family little Australian souvenirs, and I decided he couldn't really miss out on that So I've got him a little boomerang. He's mentioned it jokingly before saying that I need to teach him how to throw one to which I said I didn't even know, because, well... Australian's don't just play with boomerangs in their spare time. But my name, Kylie, is aboriginal for a type of boomerang that doesn't come back when thrown. So I guess by giving him a boomerang it's like my way of saying, I will return to him, despite what my name means. Besides, I think it'd be fun to learn to throw it together out in the snow xD His birthday is also 3 weeks after Christmas, so I might try and find something nice to buy over there or do with him for that.

Really? That's interesting. What's the reason behind that?
