since we're not gonna be with each other on vday, i'm doing valentine's week. :]
it takes about 4 days for him to get something from me via snail mail, so i'm gonna start on the 3rd, and send him a card every day till the 14th [or 10th, since he'll get that on the 14th,] finally ending with a huge card. i've always been single on valentine's day, so i told him all bets are off and i can get as girly as i want!

All this time i thought it was up to the man to do give the gift. XD
Hehehe!!! In my opinion, it is the man's job! I'm somewhat old-fashioned when it comes to dating. Guys need to wow ME. On dates they need to pick me up and pay, and on Vday they gotta buy me chocolates. But once you get into a relationship, all rules change!

Probably a photography book or Archer Season 1 on DVD. Nothing overly romantic or gushy.

I think the best heartfelt gifts are something that takes into account your SO's interests or personality. Something that would be personally appealing to him/her, not the masses. It takes really knowing and listening to your SO.

When we love, it isn't because the person's perfect, it's because we learn to see an imperfect person perfectly.

True love does not worry about the distance between, for the heart and soul travels through one's words

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, and no one can ever tear them apart.

1 universe, 9 planets, 7 continents, 194 countries, 50 states and 10 provinces...and I had the privilege to meet you.

I'm so stumped for ideas. I felt like I had to pull out all the stops for Christmas. My gift for him then was mucho successful, but now I'm lost for a plan. We're very unmushy, especially when it comes to gift giving. I think I'm going to bake him some cookies (I don't have access to a kitchen here, silly residence halls). I'll have to make a trip home to make them. Other than that. . . I'm lost and kinda stressing about it.

My SO's birthday is February 1st.. so I sent a package with his birthday trinkets and a box of his favorite NH candies from NECCO, and a hand written copy of the original love letter I sent him in September 2002.

Everything I know, and anywhere I go, It gets hard but it won't take away my love,
And when the last one falls, when it's all said and done, It gets hard but it won't take away my love

He loves home baked goodies and I have sent them in the past, but the cost of sending them is very expensive or else it will take about a week to get there. So....he has a friend near where he lives who is a baker and I have asked her to bake a couple dozen cookies and a few lemon loafs instead. I know it isn't quite the same as coming from me, but at least they will be fresh baked and I know they will taste amazing. I would rather send her the money for the service knowing that, then on postage for week old baking. I did send him a small care package as well, with a card and note from me and a few small heart and lip shaped chocolates that would fit inside the envelope.

So he is a MAJOR king of the hill freak..and so I bought him season 1 and season 2..he doesn't have any of the seasons on DVD. Then after that I am not sure. I love the ideas of making a card or something, but I am not crafty at all.....so it will have to be something simple.

I'm getting my girl an "x-rated" toy, a LOVE book from Barnes&Noble, a Harry Potter Cookbook (We're both unbelievably obsessed with HP!), baking her a cake, and making her a scrapbook. Valentine's Day is also our one year anniversary!

We're getting married a couple days after Valentine's day... I could neither give nor receive any greater gift than that!!!!
We collided and fell out of nothingness... scattering stars like dust

Sending him some homemade baked goods, a musical card, a love poem, and a photobook (with pictures from our first year+ together) from Shutterfly.
