Hi everyone, I'm a 22 year old international student currently studying in Kansas, and my boyfriend is 25 and working in his home state of Texas.
This is my third long-distance relationship (I swore to myself I would never get into another one but here it is!) although this one has been a lot more manageable. The longest we have ever been apart is 1 month. Typically visits have been every two-three weeks, with three weeks being the norm most of the time, but the last couple of visits have only been two weeks (yay).
I know I am very lucky to be able to see him this often. My two previous relationship were not that easy. The first one, we would have to go six months to a year between visits, and the second one... I never actually got to meet him before moving to the United States for school (and my choice of university was so we'd close the distance. It didn't work out in the end but it's a great university so no regrets).
I've been part of other LD communities but this one seems very close-knit and friendly, so I'm excited to be a part of it
Funny story about my boyfriend and I: we don't actually have an anniversary date. It was so natural that we can't pinpoint the moment when we decided we'd be an item.
