So I'm Nicole and I'm dating Adam, 24 who lives and works in Ohio, USA, whereas I, as of 3 days ago now live in Northern England. So we've gone from living together and spending every last second together to a distance of 3700 miles between us and 1-2 hour skype dates. It's hard and I don't think it's quite sunk in yet.
I arrived in Ohio last summer as part of my university's Biology exchange program and on Halloween 2009, I met Adam, and we've been inseparable ever since. We've dated for 9 months, and when it came to me coming back to England to finish my degree, neither of us had any intention of breaking up so here I am now, in a LDR, but I know for a fact he is worth the wait =) I plan on working my butt off this year and getting back to Ohio to to my phD, so we can be together again, as soon as possible! I know this year is going to be hard, but I can't help but feel optimistic about the future at the moment. I'm sure there will be many and emo moment for us both though. So now I have rambled on, I hope to meet some people who are going through the same situations and hopefully we can provide and recieve support from now on!

But you've come to the right place! It's gonna be hard, not gonna lie, but you can do it with good communication, trust, and of course, LOVE. Best of luck and welcome to LFAD
