Hi all
I just moved to San Francisco for a new job opportunity. I was miserable in my old one and this is a huge step up for me. Unfortunately, it means I had to re-enter an LDR
My boyfriend and I met in high school, although we didn't date each other until we were 23. We flirted long-distance for an entire year and then bit the bullet and entered an LDR. It was an amazing experience, and I was very happy that we were able to close the distance after only 6 months. I moved from Boston to Austin to be with him and we lived together happily for 7 months.
Then my career tore us apart yet again. It's difficult... having been in an LDR and then lived together in the same apartment, it's hard to go back to being separated. In addition, my boyfriend isn't very lovey-dovey and is more of the "strong and silent" type (whereas I'm a chatty Kathy). We will probably be apart for 5 years as I pursue this job + an MBA. Glad to have found this forum to help support us during this time!
