    Eeee! Spring Break!

    Squeeee~!

Though it won't be set in stone until January/middle of, it's looking as though the boy is going to be coming out to spend spring break with me! We had originally considered going to Italy for a 4-day trip when I visited him this summer, but after some careful thought, I/we decided to save Italy for when we'll have more time and be more financially able to have a good trip in a part of Italy we both want to go - and potentially not during the tourist season! So the alternative to that is that he'll be flying out here for spring break. It would only be for about a week, and then we'd part for three months before I was headed out there for summertime, but that would mean waiting three months as opposed to the seven! Which would have been doable but hard, and after everything that's happened, we've both been dying for a chance to be in the comfort and security of one another's arms.

I'm so excited, though! He'll be meeting my family and my pets, and I'll be able to introduce him to proper Mexican food (over and over and over again) and Taco Bell and... everything! We'll be going to the aquarium and probably spend a day or two in the city - the pier and the Rainforest Cafe. Downtown, and the arcade and bowling. I'm such a child, but I am so excited! I can't wait to show him a real beach, either. :P Ireland seems to be lacking those!

I'm glad to hear the great news! And haha, sounds like he's gonna get a taste of some of the best places in the US: Taco Bell and Rainforest Cafe (looooove both places)
Best wishes on an amazing time for you both

I had my ex try Taco Bell and he loathed it... But my current partner is well aware of how much I love it - I will seriously eat even the worst attempt at Mexican food and love it the same - and so is eager to try. And the Rainforest Cafe, well, you can't beat the atmosphere; he'll love it.

But I do hope to turn him into a Mexican food addict... >->

Mexican food is oh so popular here. XD I'm like your SO, could eat it for days (and have done!). My partner loves the flavours so I'm convinced I'll get him to love proper Mexican. I swear, I had a burrito down there, and it had a bunch of rice and peppers. Not what I expect when having a MEXICAN burrito, where I'm used to beans, rice, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, cabbage at times, and salsa. I'm a bit spoilt for choice, but I lurve my Mexican. :P I always have withdrawals when going to Europe for a time.

It's good you decided to not push through with your 4 days Italy trip because places in Europe are worth spending more than 4 days in!

So excited for you! Make the most of every second you spend with your SO!

Yay! That's exciting, and sounds like you guys will have a wonderful time. I'm sure that week will help make the time apart more bearable too. 3 months is definitely more doable than 7.

I agree, brielle. I did a three-day weekend in Paris once. Not long enough at all. :/

And it is squirrelz, though I worry about the fact that after the summer, the next time we'll be likely to see each other is 2013 after I leave next September, but we're both holding on to that we can survive that length of time seeing as in that time I'm going to be getting the documentation and what savings I need - I'll be halfway there by summer - ready for a working holiday, which would hopefully be approved for a year. But still. D: It's been three months since I last saw him and I'm already dying to see him again. XD Trying not to think about the fact I'm being a wimp for the practice year.

                          LOL.

It tries! D: It's more Mexican than McDonalds! But I can see you're not a fan... My mother/sister aren't either. To be honest, I usually don't settle that easily into it. Like coming home from my month in Dublin and then I had an issue with my stomach (you may remember) where I had to be on a bland diet for a while, both put me out of the Taco Bell mood for some time because of the way it tasted. Made me consider for a minute if people were right about it, then decided that I would be the stubborn fool who chowed down on it until I liked it again. It's really the nacho cheese I can't get enough of; I'm such a sucker for that melted styrofoam. :P

                            Wow. 3 months! that's amazing!

Personally, I do not know a person that hates mexican food. It seems impossible to hate it and I'd go to CA just to try it out, a bit afraid of the food in mexico itself, but that's on the list too.! Mmmm. Tacooosssss <3 You know what, Im gonna vent here a little, I have not been able to find hard taco shells here in Poland for quite a while now, so annoying, because even though (i think) theyre a commercial invention, i still love them lots.

That is true! Must keep things in perspective.

I want to go to Mexico and go to somewhere less... Americanised. I went when I was much younger, maybe 10 at most? I was looking forward to "real" Mexican food, only to find that my kid's menu (we went to Mexico City and Acapulco, however) consisted of hot dogs, hamgburgers, cheeseburgers, and chicken nuggets! Even a lot of my mother's menu had been Americanised. When she was younger, she told me she could simply go up to a cart on the street and order something authentic. :P I'm quite envious of that.

I love those things too! As odd as this is going to sound, if you ever want someone to send you some taco shells, lemme know. :P
