    Taking advantage of February 29th

    Today I screwed up my courage and proposed to my SO.


    !?


    Nah, I'm only joking. Well, half-joking. I sent him a "marriage proposal" this morning courtesy of the brilliant Bureau of Communication (www.bureauofcommunication.com). I was a bit concerned he might freak out when he opened my email though so I included a short note above:

    Happy Leap Daaay!

    You know I'm a traditional girl; keeping in line with custom I'm sending you a very important document in this email. February 29th only comes around once every four years, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to do this today - heck, I'd have to wait a long time for my next chance

    (Thought this might make you smile... don't take it too seriously! ♥)





    He told me later that it had indeed made him smile! I do love the BoC - documents for all occasions

                        I'm picking my SO up at the train station in about 3 hours...maybe I'll surprise him by getting down on one knee. It'd be all in good fun, but I'd have to explain that it's because it's Leap Day.

                            I proposed to my SO today and he accepted so now I am an engaged woman!!!! I wrote him a poem explaining how I feel about him and us (atm I am in New Zealand and he is back in the USA) and he was over the moon. I am so so happy and so proud to have the love of the man of my dreams!!!! Finding the courage was pretty tough but I bit the bullet and just did it. I can't believe its all real!!! :-D

                              Wow, congratulations! You're a much braver woman than I; pretend proposing is one thing but I don't think I'd ever find the courage to do it for real. Good for you! Wishing both of you all the best for the future
