Have you two met face to face yet? If you haven't, I would suggest working towards a first meeting before going over there and making such a huge commitment (unless you're 100% sure that you're going to love the country/uni itself).

I see nothing wrong with working/studying abroad, IF youare going to be independant and self sufficient. I would not go over with the intention of moving in with him. You need to have your own life established before making such a committment. And if he is financially secure, he can plan visits to see you, while you get established.
If you were to move in with him, it would be more difficult to leave if you were unhappy or it wasnt what you had hoped for

This does seem rather sudden if you've never met him before, and could mean disaster. I would definitely go over there and meet him before moving there.
