His visa has been rejected. We found out last night. We cant believe it.
Everything was going so perfectly... I knew it was too good to be true. The one chance to be together soon is now gone. I was stupid enough to have my heart set on it before it was official. He had a job here and everything was set. Now this visa thing had to go mess it all up
We're now stuck apart even longer. I know a year isnt long, but its a year longer than we both expected. I shouldnt have got my hopes pinned on it but i did.
He was gonna be on the Youth Mobility Scheme, we will find out why it has been rejected soon when his documents come back. Does anyone know much about how to appeal? Does it cost money? Is there any point in trying to appeal? Do we have other options?
For now, we're going back to him staying there and working and me visiting. He is gonna be getting his own place and we can move in together next year around May time. We are just gonna have to deal with it and get on with it. The only upside is that he can sort out wedding plans easier from there than we both could here.
We're just both a bit shocked by this, and upset by it all. Any advice would be great >.<

The Day we went long distance: 08.08.2010

They asked for a recent bloody letter!!!! He had more than enough money in the bank, and a letter to prove it. They say they do bank checks to find out how long its been there etc if they arent certain about it, and they FAILED to do these checks. So the stupid person who did it just said the bank letter was too recent and said he couldnt have the visa.
