Been meaning to share for a while but haven't gotten round to it! So as many of you are aware, I had a visit with my SO in March. He left Sunday, and it's coming on a week since he was in my room, keeping my bed warm, but I'm managing as best I can. Sunday is also our year anniversary, which is exciting and giving me something to look forward to. But I know a couple people asked for pictures and though one is on my Facebook, I figured I'd share anyway!
So days one through, I believe three or four, we were both so caught up in one another that we didn't do much picture taking. I also had about four days that were tied up due to finals, so we mainly hung out around campus and he wandered around, bored, while I took my finals (got a 50/50 on one of them. Still not sure how I managed that with my SO in tow!), and around the local areas. We saw The Lorax, I believe the day after he arrived. Neither of us cared very much for it. I have never seen so many political statements so blatantly infused into a children's movie, but I suppose they had to keep the adults hooked/interested somehow. Around the third day he was here, he developed a raging toothache which ended up requiring dental attention. It would have been $350 to get it pulled, however, so he took a shot on antibiotics and they ended up doing the trick. I would say that after the toothache was sorted out was when the trip really got underway and the camera got pulled out and never stopped (I'll spare everyone the complete whoring, though).
We have a local natural park, so we took a hike there with my dog. Strangely enough, she loved him! We were all worried about what their interactions would be like, as she's very male-aggressive, but she took a liking to him instantly. I love this picture because she appears so comfortable walking with him, even if he hates this photo:
This is where we went, and a picture of Summer, because she's cute:
We also went on a tour of another park and saw some of these guys:
And their bones!
Those are elephant seals behind us:
