update
thanks everyone. here's the update. the ER diagnosed him with unstable angina but they couldn't treat him. they said that his bp was too low and if they gave him nitro that his bp could get lower. so there was nothing they could do for him. they did run blood work and that showed that he didn't have a heart attack. he also had an EKG and that came back bad but the doc never elaborated as to what that means. I want him to return to the ER and he says a part of him wants to also, but based on his last trip a few days ago he feels that it's a waste because they said that they couldn't treat him. I'm really scared that he will have a heart attack and that the next time I see him will be because I'm flying down for his funeral. I also think his rotten treatment is also due to his state health insurance. but that's another topic that I can't even discuss right now.

That's so scary
Make him see a specialist, do whatever it takes, You may not be able to be there with him but you can convince him to get treatment. When it comes to the matter of the heart you shouldn't wait around to see what might happen! Stay strong, I'm sending good thoughts to both of you ♥

I wanted to give you a hug first, tell you you're in my thoughts (as is he). I also wanted to offer that if you have any questions about what's going on, I'd be happy to help you decode the medical side of things (if you want). I worked on a cardiac ICU floor for a very very long time (RN). I know it's quite scary to see someone hooked up to so many weird machines. A lot of times it looks a lot worse than it is (not trying to say that about your situation, just in general it's very scary to see someone we love hooked up to things we don't understand).
Hope all goes well, they figure out what's going on, and he's out soon. Did he have heart problems before this, or was this just out of the blue? I know how hard it is to face medical problems while apart from your BF/fiance. My fiancé also has heart issues, so I understand very well. Except things have turned around recently with my being sick (cancer). It's not easy!!!
Let us know how he's doing, okay? Praying all is well.

things just keep getting worse. he doesn't have unstable angina- he has an enlarged aorta and the right side of his heart is blocked. the hospital said his echo was fine- it wasn't. his doc looked at the tests and found this. he's now waiting to hear from a cardiologist. his doc reiterated that he could have a heart attack at any time and he's gotta stay stress free. I don't know how much more he can take and I'm right along with him. he's been thru so much already and we just want to get his health issues under control so we can get married and begin our lives together.
thank you all for your prayers. they mean so much to me. <hugs>

*hugs* So sorry to hear it, I hope he can get in to the cardiologist soon! You'd think for that kind of situation they'd be more helpful...

What does he mean when he says the right side of his heart is blocked? Does he have a weakened artery, coronary artery disease, or something of that nature? It is impossible for that entire side of heart to be blocked because it would be unable to pump blood.
Be patient and positive, Kerri! I am sorry you and him have to go through this. I am sure his specialist will take good care of him, and get him whatever medication or surgery he needs to be healthy for years to come. Good luck!
