The "real" reason you're in an LDR

You two met while you were studying abroad?
You happen to love somebody who lives nowhere near you?

Likely story! What's the "real" reason you're in an LDR? I have two:

I wanted a British boyfriend but I didn't want him to be too Americanized by living here. So I got him fresh from England.

Boys have cooties but I still wanted a boyfriend and I figured 5000 miles ought to be safe enough.

We met while he was here visiting his brother & friends we have in common ... we started talking & once he went back home we kept talking *texting* ... it just grew from there .... I will not move there, because of my family & he can't move here for awhile {another year or maybe 2} because of family. So we're in a LDR for awhile

One day i woke up and asked everyone in my guild (on this game...) where they were from. One character named bowchikawowwow (yes lol) said they were from California. I was like "hell yeah!" i want to move to California!

Nah - it just happened. I'd known him in my guild for a while, we chatted as friends and my feelings for him developed till one day i blurted out "I LIKE YOU!" and he was like o.O "not the bad bowchikawowwow!" And, as they say, the rest is history. I love thinking about how it happened XD that was 3 years ago now XD

I was in a LDR because I was too socially inept to date locally... aditionally I didn't actually know where Canada was or how stupidly cold it is there.

Next time, I'm going to date a kiwi. They live closer, no visa issues and every time I need cheering up he can whisper "fush and chups" in my ear!

I always wanted a Serbian bf..but who was not too serbian (difficult to explain) lol moreover I hate the place where I'm living, so that a serbian Canadian is the right guy for me hahaha

Because everyone knows that Polish men are the last real gentlemen on this planet (I think I read somewhere that Poland has the most florists per capita in Europe. No idea if that's true.)
Plus I needed someone to introduce me to the locals, so I don't spend my semester abroad socialising only with other international students... oh and I wanted to improve my Polish.
