    I graduated today!

Today I graduated from university with a BSc in Mathematics, with 1st class honours. My girlfriend couldn't make the trip from California to be here for it, but the university broadcasted the ceremony live on the internet, so she was able to watch it. I wore a necklace she sent me, and it almost felt like she was there with me. It makes me melt each time I think that she woke up at 3am just to watch me graduate.

It feels so weird to have graduated; I think I'm meant to be an adult now! Of course, I'm starting a PhD in September so I'm still going to be a student, so perhaps I don't need to be too grown up. :P

Anyway, this post is just a bit rambly because I'm so excited for having graduated, and so melty and loved because my girlfriend got up just to watch me.

    How is everyone else?

Congratulations! I have one more year to go before I graduate. Time flies, I swear. But what a lovely thing for your girlfriend to do, and how nice that the option was available. Congrats again!

Congratulations!!! It was lucky that they broadcasted it live. I don't think it was an option when I graduated last year. Anyway, best of luck with everything!

Aw, It's awesome that your gf could be there even though she couldn't be there... I have two degrees so far, and my SO couldn't be at my first graduation, and I couldn't be at my second . I know the feeling of "growing up" and of remaining a student. I just finished my master's and I'm about to start my PhD, too! What is your PhD going to be in? Math for that one, too? Good luck with it!

Congrats! That's really sweet of your girlfriend and nice of you to wear the necklace she gave you as she must have given you support during your studies as well. Good luck with your PhD!

Hey, congratulations! That's a great accomplishment. I just graduated, too! Of course, my boyfriend couldn't come, but my university streamed the ceremony online, too. My boyfriend and his mom tried to watch, but the stream kept getting interrupted. My last name starts with an R, and it was spotty... then he was able to watch up until Q... then it died... and then came back for S! So he didn't get to see me get my diploma. ): But oh well.
