"This one time, at band camp...." I met the boy who I would ultimately fall in love with! :-D There was a summer music camp at my college that we had both attended, but I didn't know of him until my first year as a junior counselor. It was his last year as a camper, he was lumped in with the kids that were always causing trouble, so I disliked him by association. The next summer, he was a junior counselor, I was a counselor, and it was casual indifference. The next summer... we both don't really know what happened, but we were summer lovin' for the week. We stayed in touch after that and, every time we ended up visiting each other (my school was only two and a half hours away), there was always this insane amount of chemistry between us, but the timing was never right. Skip forward a couple of years, I was working the camp and he came to visit... and BAM. A kiss on that visit led to 6 months of being friends with benefits, which ultimately soured due to distance. He hurt me, I cut him out of my life, then we started talking again a couple of years later... I went to visit and (again) BAM. Here we are now!

We met online as well but playing world of warcraft. He was in the guild and we initially just starting playing around in game with another and then it grew from there. We have known each other for close to 3 years but although we have had feeling for one another have only decided this past year to really pursue a relationship and plan on getting together in November. We both can't wait!

We met in college in 2009. Our first meeting, technically, was when he sat in front of me at a baseball game our college attended during our new student orientation weekend. He let me borrow his binoculars, but I didn't catch his name (we were both too caught up in the game, ha ha).

In the weeks that followed, we occasionally sat near each other in the cafeteria and a few times we got to talking. I started developing a crush on him, but I waited for him to say something first since I thought he was a pretty neat guy, and I didn't want to jeopardize our friendship in case he didn't see me that way. Mealtimes were becoming the highlight of my days, and as the end of the fall semester approached, he asked if he could come visit me over break. (I was traveling home to Washington state to spend Christmas with my family, and it turned out his brother was getting married in Washington over break, too.)

I said "yes," of course, taking it as a good sign. I sent him my address over Facebook almost immediately. Later that night, however, he made a point to find me on campus and tell me that he thought I was beautiful and intelligent. He was worried that he might have weirded me out since no feelings had been admitted before his spontaneous request to see me over break. I told him he had nothing to worry about and that I reciprocated his feelings. He asked if he could hold my hand, so we did for a few minutes before parting for the evening.

That was a wonderful night and the start of something pretty special.

My boyfriend and I initially met online through a BBW & admirers website. We were both from Northern Ontario and were instantly curious about each other since it was common to come across people who lived all over... but even lesser were from Canada, and when they were, they were usually from southern Ontario 8+ hours from us or from another province... so when we found out we were both from Northern Ontario, Canada and later finding out we only lived 3 hours away, we started swapping short messages to one another -- Up until I showed a friend a mine a picture of him and she said 'OMG! I know him!', she'd been to college in the city he lived in and they had met through an online dating site where she wasn't interested in him but kept him on her MSN... a day or 2 later, she hooked us up by passing my MSN email on to him, and we began chatting for hours since!

We started talking in mid-September on the BBW site, then chatting on MSN and getting to know each other around October 1st when I started my new job... and October 10th, we started dating! =) <3

So though we met on the forum initially, it was a mutual friend who bonded us. =)

We met online. It was one of those ads that are at the top of a wesite. Some mobile thing. I signed on cuz i was bored at work. He IM me asked for my number. That was in December and in March he called me his girlfriend and said he loved me. Still workin on the visits and closing the distance.

We met on a random text based RPG site, I made a thread for posting pictures of ourselves so that we could get to know what everyone looked like, my SO saw my pictures and thought I was cute so he instant messaged me and we just hit it off from there. All pure luck really.

We met in college after my best friend brought him into our group the first semester =3. I had a bf back then and he had a crush on my roommate lol. Oh how times change... I stole his heart and he earned mine.

We met through a website called connecting singles.. about 3 years ago.
Actually CS is a dating site but it has a forum too and there are a lot of people there, not really looking for a relationship but only there for the friends they made on the forum.
And so was I. I made a lot of friends too and wasn't really looking for an LDR. He was there too, with his GF he got to know through the dating section of that site.
We talked sometimes but that was it.

Then I started a secret group on FB with all these friends, because it seemed like a whole army of trolls took over CS. So my friend and I started this group and he became a member also.
We started to talk some more.... he broke up with his GF.. and it suddenly clicked between us.
From there on, we became an item and now I am hoping to visit him in Philly asap.

We met online via a game called megaten. He joined my guild around the beginning of 2009. We didnt really start talking alot till july time. I asked him to get on vent (along with a few other people) and the first time i heard his voice i melted lol. I was in a very unhealthy relationship at the time and i basically called it off with the guy. 3 months later this guild member came to visit me for 2 months. It's been 3 years now : ) and getting married this august : ))

We met on a website called Omegle. For those of you who don't know, the site literally connects you with a completely random stranger in a chatbox. It gives no information. It just says "You are now chatting with a random stranger." Well I was on the site that night (june 2011), lonely and bored, finding interesting conversations. We got connected and ended up talking for 3 hours that night. I found out he was also lonely and in the same situation regarding his dating past (nonexistant). We exchanged emails and talked almost every single day. We eventually sent pictures, and then skyped. We did that for a year, developing strong feelings for each other, and then a week ago, we finally met and decided to make things official! We'll be seeing each other again in 5 1/2 months! Its crazy how it was so random but we seem so incredibly perfect for one another!

We met online on a website called isketch, which is like a giant online version of pictionary and is quite addicting so I do not suggest going on there haha. But yeah, we started making fun of each other (his screen name was SwagSurfin, come on now) and ended up adding each other on MSN that night and staying up until 5 AM talking. The next day he told me that he must be crazy but he was really starting to fall in love with me and so the story goes. Some drama happened in between then and the time he visited me about a year later (this previous September) but everything is perfect now and we'll have been together two years November 17th.

We met online on a site called Chat-Avenue.com. He started talking to me and we chatted a bit. He was looking for a girl to get naked on cam for him and I was looking for some conversation. It's an international chat room and I had only been on it a few times but I had never found anyone anywhere near me. But this guy was 20 minutes away from me! He was home for Christmas break from the Canadian Military. I added him to Facebook eventually and Skype as well that night. We talked on Skype and he started his cam (I didn't start mine because it was late at night and I had already washed my face :P). A few days after talking on Skype we decided to meet up. He picked me up at my house at 10am and we spent the day together running errands and hanging out. Then pretty much the rest is history. We decided to give long distance a shot while he was in the military and I was in school. A year and a half later of being apart and it's going wonderfully. There's no closing the distance date set, but we're hoping it's only going to be a few more years.

In August 2010, I went to visit one of my friends while she was staying long term with her now husband. They were in an international LDR. Her husband is my fiance's brother, and the three of them were living together so I met him at their house. We all seemed to get along, and we still live together whenever I go visit. My fiance and I are getting married in November.

I had just started playing World of Warcraft and was having trouble with a quest. The items you were supposed to find didn't sparkle back then and I couldn't see them for the life of me. I asked for help in general chat and he came to help.

It just happened to be that he was friends with the host who I knew from a different program. We started messaging each other about roleplay stuff and then we started to talk about our irl stuff. We just hit it off from there.
