Do you keep your conversation history?

For those that use MSN, or similar programs, have you saved your conversations? I unknowingly have. And I found all of them.

I started reading all of it - pages and pages of conversations between us - from the very start of meeting one another online. I laughed, I cried, I cringed; it was an amazing look into how we have evolved in our relationship. And I couldn't help but think how lucky we are to have a record of our communication with one another. Only in an LDR could we have done this.

Then I delved in deeper. Phone messages that I couldn't bear to erase. Emails, countless emails. Facebook messages. Practically our whole existence in this relationship through all these mediums. It's quite amazing.

So am I the only freak to have kept all of this?

I kept the message archive on purpose this whole time and when my old computer was dying, I made sure that was the first thing I saved There are definitely some cringe-worthy things in there.. It's funny seeing how we changed over time, going from complete strangers to what we have now and what we've planned for the future.

I have most of our MSN conversations saved; he noticed he'd been saving them since the very first chat and told me about it later, so I started saving them too! We still have them, and we have all the emails we've sent each other (over 5,000 of them) and I have some of his sweetest texts either written down on paper or archived on my current phone Just can't bring myself to delete them, and why should I It'll be nice to find them and go through them after 5, 10, 20 years.

So no, you're definitely not the only one

I'm with you guys, I saved everything as well I started saving texts before we started chatting, but, it was a nice thing to remember I had when we started chatting. He knows I have them and jokes about how he can 'always get them from you' if he needs them for some reason. I totally agree though, I love re-reading them when I miss him and just having them is nice. Also, there's some really sweet things said in there and I might think of using them in my vows

So, nope, not crazy unless the rest of us are too

We can run 'til the days are gone

I've saved our chat logs (and emails too, I think) since a couple of weeks after the day we met

Nah, I don't really have ours saved. I have some that are a bit special to me and make me smile saved, but most have been deleted. Though, we also have all of our chats on facebook.. which kinda save themselves if you don't delete the entire message.

This. This is only one of the reasons that I love this man. XD

Ha, I thought I was the only one doing this. Yeah, I started saving them from when first started dating in our game that we met in. hahah. It is fun to read, its like complete evolution of our relationship. From then to know, and to know what are plans are, its so different. I always smile

I didn't intentionally save our chat logs, they're saved automatically on skype which is cool. I read through them sometimes and its great lol.

When we decided to be officially together, I made a huge save of all the Skype chat history since the beginning till that moment (including the BIG question about starting our relationship). It's a beautiful memeory and I like to have it in my computer, but I have to admit that I never have time to go trhough it and read everything again!

I have all of our text messages saved! Some of his really sweet messages I also saved as pictures so I could easily scroll through them all at once... I will have to look through my skype history now though since it is automatically saved.

I keep my MSN history saved by default, so I have most of our conversations saved since we started dating. He does the same. I figure one day it will help prove that our relationship is real. Until then, it's just nice to look back and read how our relationship evolved.

LMAO nooo you're not a freak for doing this, I have ALL of our very first gtalk chats saved and He's also the only thread in my inbox of texts that I have NEVER deleted, can't bring myself too lol. I even screenshot texts that mean a lot to me so I can have them foreverrr! Bahahahaha! Chalk it up to being in love and just call it at that.

Ours are saved, but it's automatic on Gmail. We used Gmail to chat and email so everything is still on my account. I've even gone back and "starred" some of the cuter emails.

On the other hand he deletes EVERYTHING. His email account is at 0. Who does that? I have to send him his own flight itineraries because he deletes them. Luckily I have learned to always email them to myself as well!

LOL! My guy does the same thing! It's a good thing I did save everything because they sure did come in handy when it was time to send in the docs for the K-1 Visa! :P

I wish I could have saved all of our chat logs, but due to my current circumstances was not able to, but I do have most of his emails saved and I just actually had him send me a copy of all the ones he has since I had to delete a few of them as well. I love reading through them on a slow night at work especially since we did the that 100 questions to ask your partner thing so it's a nice way to remember some of the answers
