Thank you all very much. I haven't been really able to reply to this thread, as I'm at a loss for what to say. So far, things are going very well with my SO and I think we've been getting along better. It's just those "jokes" and his slightly twisted sense of humour that hurt -- I've brought that up with him and we had a talk about it with good results.

I'm really thankful for everyone who has responded in this thread. Hopefully I'm not bothering you all too much (:

I'm so glad to hear you've talked with good results. I know how scary it can be to speak up and say something. But now, I feel protected and safe and loved, so I'm working on speaking my mind more. I'm so happy for you.
