    International "I Love Yous" :)

Just had an idea, since there's so many ppl in here from different countries it would be nice to know how you say things in your language, like I love you, I miss you etc. So post them here

    Here's some in finnish:

I love you = Minä rakastan sinua
I miss you = Ikävöin sinua
Goodnight sweetheart = Hyvää yötä rakas

Just a few examples, keep e'm coming and you can all use them to express you love to your SO in many languages in a Valentine's Day card for example!

Awesome Idea... For those who are brave, some guide of how to pronounce them would be spiffy.... here's the one I Love You I know how to say and write, other than english
Spanish~ I Love you~ Te Amo (Tay ahmoe)
I Miss You ~ T'extrano (the n needs the funny wavy thing but I don't know how to do that--- Tex-stran-yo)

Pretty sure those are spelled right....

Tanja already posted them in Finnish, so there's not much for me to do. :P But I might as well add a few new ones just for the heck of it:

        Good morning = Hyvää huomenta
        See you = Nähdään
        Sleep well = Nuku hyvin

          My French is a little rusty and I only know Quebec (not Parisian). ^^;;

          I love you = J't'aime
I miss you = Tu me manques
          Goodnight = Bonne nuit

My family is sicilian, and its a form of italian, tho i'm a much better speaker than speller so let me give it a try..

            I love you- Ti Amo
            I miss you- Mi manchi
You're my soulmate-Sei la mia anima gemella ( I think?)
            Goodnight- Buona Notte
Forever- Per Sempre (which is the one I say to Kevin a lot)

Some things are hard to translate as they don't mean the same thing once you translate them. haha

Okay...in class bored to death (finished my work already LOL) so I decided to do the geek thing and google some ILY translations.... Some of my Favorites followed by links

Vulcan ~Wani Ra Yana Ro Aisha

Canadian ~Sh'teme (ROFL is this for real or a joke...cause I thought Canadians spoke either French or English usually...)
              French~ Je t'aime, Je t'adore
Hawaiian~ Aloha Au Ia ʻOe, Aloha No Au Ia ʻOe
              Irish (Gaelic)
              Gráím thú (I love you)
Tugaim cion duit (I give you affection)

that's an awesome thread! we could learn so much from here. Okay, so i think im the only one from Poland here ....

I love you = Kocham Cie (ko hum tchye ) - soooo difficult, we should upload mp3 sounds for that!
                    I miss you = Tęsknię (tes-knye)
I want you = Chcę Cię (h-tse tchye)

polish is kinda difficult, took toby half a year to learn how to properly pronounce my name

My boyfriend is from the Netherlands, so, he speaks Dutch as his first language. I love you is one of the few things I can say!

Ik hou van jou - I love you.
"Distance never separates two hearts that really care, for our memories span the miles and in seconds we are there. But whenever I start feeling sad, because I miss you, I remind myself how lucky I am to have someone so special to miss."

Maori are the native people of NZ, and "aroha" means "love" in the Maori language. Google tells me I love you is "kei te aroha au i a koe"

He's even got his own "Appreciation Society" group on Facebook that a few of the students have set up!

I think I'll teach those to a mate of mine who particulary loves him
