      i like this one!

      ok spanish has been said already above by Gurl
      (btw gurl, just if you want to know, the ñ can be made with alt+164 i think, at least it works here :P )

      some other things in spanish would be :

      Buenas noches amor =goodnight love
      Te necesito = i need you
      Ojala estuvieras aca = i wish you were here

      i can think of a thousand :P

      and in his language (swedish) it would be

      I love you = Jag älskar dig

      and two more words..

      hug = kram
      kisses= pussar

      that's pretty much all i know (hahah, i should know more about my So's language ) but at least is something

        I don't know how to say any of those things in other languages but I just wanted to say what a great idea this thread is! I've really enjoyed reading through all the different ways of saying things in different languages .

          Oooh. This is cool, haha. I'm a student of Latin, but as it's mostly written nowadays, my pronunciation might be off. XD

          Latin:
          I love you: amo tum. (ah-mo toom)
          I miss you: desidero tum. (deh-sid-er-oh toom) - This one's kind of nifty because the Latin word for miss also means need/long for/request your presence. =] Haha.
          My love: amor meum (ah-more may-um)
          Dear, like the term of endearment: carrista (cuh-rist-uh, for girls) or carristus (cuh-rist-us, for guys)
          Beautiful: pulchra (puhl-kra)

                i love this thread!!!!!! amazing idea. i cant add any new ones cos all the languages i speak are already on here (german, italian, english, swedish)
                but i just wanted to add "tu mi manchi da morire" to italian, which means "i miss you to death". also for german, as lunamea already said, saying "du fehlst mir"("i miss you") is to me way more beautiful than the simple "ich vermisse dich". another way of saying it would be "ich sehne mich nach dir"/"ich habe sehnsucht nach dir" ("im longing for you").

                  Ooh my SO is also from the Netherlands. I entirely forgot to put some Dutch. I love you is already here but i shall add some more that I've learnt from him. =)

                  I love you too = Ik hou ook van jou
                  Kiss = Kusje
                  Lots of kisses for you = Heel veel kusjes voor jou
                  Hug(s) = Knuffel(en)
                  Sleep well = Slaap zacht
                  Sweet dreams = Fijne dromen
                  Good morning = Goede morgen
                  I will never let you go = Ik zal je nooit laten gaan

                  That's all I can think of for now =)

                        And the cool thing is that it also means teddy/stuffed animal.

                        Oh, and Caity, there's a slight error in one of your Dutch translations.
                        Sleep well = Slaap lekker ------ Slaap zacht means 'rest in peace'
