Getting started takes some time, but if you follow the pattern that is sent with it then you'll have no problems. One thing I did do is buy a lighter aida (fabric) because the aida that came with it was too dark and I couldn't see the individual squares....Once you get started it passes the time and the end result is having a keepsake that can be passed down to the next generation....

Here's a link to the website I bought it from, if your interested?

My idea of hobbies is to try out new things, learn new things apart from having fun. My small list of hobbies is as follows:
      - Reading books
      - Attending evening classes in different languages - have tried French and now I'm into Spanish
      - Watching TV
      - Working out and do spinning
      - Got my flight certificate about 2 years ago. Fist lerning, both the theory and then learning to fly. After i got the certificate - it's a great hobby to go flying 1 or 2 hours on weekends

Writing (poetry, stories, papers for my class) researching random things, browsing home decor ideas (I like coming up with ways to get the same designer look for less) I have a few pets that require attention and care, now as far as crafts, I have TONS: polymer clay (clay that bakes in an ordinary oven), anything using a hot glue gun, painting, sewing, finding random cool stuff at goodwill and giving them a makeover (new coat of paint, new fabric, ect.) or furniture flips. Pinterest is great for ideas on hobbies and crafts and DIY too

There are 2 kinds of flight certificates, ppl and ul. PPL is the "standard" flight certificate, I fly UL which stands for ultra light aircraft. I's a small type of plane for 2 people only. Great fun. The cost for a certificate as well as flight time is about half, and since it's just for fun it fits me perfect.
Maybe you're interested as well? I think I earlier on I had my plans to get a certificate, but then it did not happen. So I think what got me thinking about that again was a kind of total "review" of my life after my divorce.
One thing I've figured out is to aim for not to be regret things you did not do when you're old and think back on your life.
