Unexpected first meeting with SO? Heaven help me!

My SO just called me and said he has booked a flight for tomorrow to come and spend the day with me Thursday. He is actually starting his new firefighting job monday and said he just couldnt wait longer to come and meet me. Its only going to be for one day but I dont care, just getting to be with him is all that matters to me. But heres what im afraid of, he's going to call my parents and let them know. I had no idea he was going to do this so i definitely had nothing to do with him coming this soon. I'm praying that they will understand his situation because once he starts his new job, he wont be able to get any days off right away. Any tips for me? I work from 9-5 everyday so ill only get to see him after work but thats fine with me. Im so nervous!1

I cant just call in sick you guys. I could get fired for that if i wasnt really sick. :/ I'll only get a few hours with him but I dont care, as long as I finally get to meet him Im happy.

Yeah but I would feel very guilty for doing that. Right now my mom is pretty much freaking out because its so sudden. I am constantly telling her that he came up with this all on his own and that if I couldve gotten to him before he booked his ticket, I wouldve tried to talk him out of it because this week is crazy.

^ I'd do that.. ASAP I'd tell my boss the deal.. explain that you only get one day together, maybe even suggest that you'll make up the time by working overtime - or take a pay cut for the day that you miss... either that or I'd say I have some kind of doc appt in the afternoon or something.. and try to get the afternoon off.. haha :P

Oh I will post photos as soon as I can!! I can't believe he's coming. His whole family says they want to meet me someday soon so I'm very excited. He's from Clovis NM.
