I think you did the right thing. Sometimes distance *is* too much and love can't conquer all, as much as people want it to. And it doesn't mean you love your SO any less, or that you are weak. You're just being realistic and very brave. Good luck. xo

I do think that you did the right thing as well. Moving to Chile is impossible due to your mother and he would not even hope to get a job in Macau (Spanish is nigh useless in Asia as well, especially in China), in such a competitive multilingual market.

You've made it clear that you couldn't do 5 years+ apart and as such, breaking up is the right thing.
