    Meeee!
I met my LDB on an online game (Habbo) about 9-10 years ago, haha.
People always give me this facial expression when I tell them.. O_______O :P
It's also funny when I tell people and they go "OHHHHH I PLAYED IN THAT GAME!"

However, one month seems very soon to be saying "I love you" to someone when that's the entire time you've known each other. Have you talked to each other through voice or video calls? It's not quite the same as being there in person, but it adds new levels of familiarity.
It does. I met my husband online at 27, and we told each other we loved each other after we'd known each other for just shy of two months. I'm 30 now, and we're married and live together and get along great. We're madly in love. Now, this goes against any love advice I ever gave anyone before I met him, lol. I was surprised that it was happening to me, because I was always of the "wait 5 years before you marry someone, wait a long time to say, 'I love you'" mentality. :P But sometimes it just happens with people. I just "knew" about him that he'd eventually be my husband when we were getting to know each other. I fell for him hard and fast, and was so elated the feeling was mutual when he one day just told me how he felt. To this day, I'm thankful for the circumstances being just right for us to meet and eventually be together in person.

As far as the situation of the OP, I think it can work out if you both want it to and are dedicated to each other. If he's feeling nervous now, but still interested in your relationship, be patient with him. I would suggest Skype video calls as a way to make it feel more "real" than just typing to each other or only talking on the phone. Children will complicate it, and I won't pretend to know how to handle that as I don't have kids, but I know several LFAD members are in similar situations with kids and can probably give some great advice. I hope it will work out for you guys and that he can shake his nervousness!

I think it doesn't matter when you really say I love you to someone, what matters is that you really mean it

But yeah, it does work! Me and my SO met in Omegle. Hehehe

I disagree...there is NO time frame for when "I love you" is real. Each situation is ENTIRELY different.
