Love this article! It was directly on point and definitely what I needed to put a smile on my face tonight.

                Agreed!

The article gave me warm feelings as well, happy to share!

I really liked the part about making sure to share the things we think are mundane with our LD SOs because those are the things we would be experiencing with them everyday. It was just a nice reminder in how to keep communication going to strong to build up to closing the distance.

I liked this article - just today I decided to make more of an effort to reconnect with my SO on a more mundane level, and already feel better for it.

There's also this bonus to LDR:

HAHA my SO and I just had a conversation about this the other day. Even he admitted that it was nice not having to groom certain areas all the time!

I've always said, and people usually just think I'm nuts, that there are definite advantages to being LDR. Instead of the usual wallowing in misery that I'm watching TV alone again, I'm happy that I'm the Master of the Remote, and can watch as much Walking Dead, Sister Wives and Sex Sent Me to the ER as I want, 'cause there's no way my guy would watch any of those! That's a ridiculous example, of course, but you have to try to find the positives in any situation, including missing your SO. Some days, like today, are definitely harder than others. I would happily give up any of those shows (except Walking Dead) in exchange for my guy to be next to me on the couch, but since he can't be, I make the best of it. It's OK to look at the bright side of things, no matter how faint it is.
