jusst relax. my so is in and out of the hospital all the damn time, concussions, broken this broken that, infections, you name it. It's stressful imagine your roommate calling you to tell you your SO is on her way to the hospital in an abluence my roommate worked at her school, and having to call your SO's family and telling them. It sucks, just relax, the er is the best place to be! Rather him be in there then suffering at home!

When Andy was in surgery because of his lung I felt completely helpess and so scared... that's the worst part in being in an LDR, not being able to be there and not knowing what's going on.
I'm glad your man is ok and feeling well!

well he called me a couple of times today. I have texted him, he now has an infection...and has to stay in the hospital to get IV antibiotics...he is there tonight, and possibly tomorrow night, until saturday. I miss him terribly. we usually talk at least 3 hours a day...and its been like 20 min.
The anethesiologist broke his front teeth, when they intubated him...its been a big ordeal for him, and I can't do anything. I think of him and I start to cry...i really, really hate it..but like Rane said...it will make us stronger.
Thanks for all your advice and encouragement and caring!

Awwwww no, I'm sorry
How the hell did they manage to break his teeth? That's mental. Kinda scary to think how much force they must use stuffing a pipe down your throat if that can happen....
Stay strong holli, he'll be fixed and fine in no time and you'll be so happy to talk to him again! I'm sure it helps his recovery to know that someone is thinking and worrying about him 24/7, loves him more than anything and wants him to be ok ♥

Did the appendix burst? Or some bacterias slipped out anyway?
When it comes to appendicitis i guess they also have as safety that they have to stay a bit longer and take anti-biotica.
But yeah don't worry. Unless it burst it shouldn't be any problems at all. It just sucks to recover after surgery :P
He'll be back before you know it.

The appendix didn't burst as far as I know, but some bacteria got out...he called earlier this morning like at 2 a.m. and he has now developed a fever...so i don't know. I haven't heard from him today yet.
The thing they use to intubate you, is metal on the end...and the anesthiologist said that he was a very hard patient. He was fighting them...subconsiously, but still...or he could of bit down on the metal. But ya very scary stuff. His throat kills him and he can't talk very well...he is hoarse, so they forced that tube down pretty hard. That is what they do when you are close to not getting a breath..just shove it down there!

Hmm that sounds strange. I'm by no means any expert and i guess i was lucky when i went through it.
I just remember the doctor saying afterwards that the surgery took a bit longer then expected because they had to make sure they scraped up all parts of the appendix.
But i don't see any reason to worry

I have heard from him for like 5-10 minutes today. He sounded better today...but he is super sleepy with the pain medication...and he won't answer his phone tonight... I hope he calls sometime soon.
