Valentine's Day!

I think it's fair to say that this day has a bit more significance on this forum

So, what have you got all planned?

I can't really say too much with Tanja on here! But I have got a little something planned :o

So come on then, let's hear all these romantic ideas!

Because we don't know if we're going to see each other for Valentine's Day, we really don't have anything planned.

However, I did get her some little things to send off to her for the big day (I've learned that in this kind of relationship, the post office is your friend):

A little bag of candy (to remind her how sweet she is)
A little teddy bear (to give her something to hold during those long, cold, lonely nights...emphasis on cold where we live)
A fabric rose (to show her that unlike a real rose, a fabric rose doesn't die...kind of like our love)
A picture frame, complete with a picture of us at her graduation (two reasons: one, because she enjoys photography; two, because a person in these kinds of relationships can never have enough photos of your significant other)

Remember, everyone: while we may not be able to spend the day with our loved one, remember that love transcends the distance. While we may not be able to be together in person, we'll always be in the other's heart.

We don't have a great deal of money so I'm not sure we'll see each other for V-Day this year

If we do - then he can come here and stay at mine and just chill out all night watching movies, maybe crack open a bottle of wine!
If we don't - then I'm out of ideas and will be watching this thread for any inspiration!! He won't do anything cute for me, hopefully will get a cute card though...I love getting cute things through the post off him...even though he doesn't believe in V-Day

I highly doubt we're going to be doing anything for V-Day. XD A, he's kind of poor-ish and neither of us are material at all, so the gifts thing is out. B, he's going to the Lunar New Year Festival where he lives on that day. I'm pretty sure we'll just be extra sappy and I'll ask him to be my Valentine or vice versa and we'll gush about how this is the first time either of us have had a Valentine on Valentine's day. =D

It's not a huge deal to me though. I've never really been one to make a huge deal out of Valentine's day. I'm sure if we were close distance, I would try to plan something, but since we're both low on cash, we can't really afford gifts or anything. So it'll probably just be another day for us.

We have never done anything for Valentine's Day. I think I sent him a card one year, but I've never gotten one from him. We usually just say "Happy Valentines Day" to each other
It's just never been a big deal for us. I don't think we've ever spent it together. If in the future we do, I can imagine that we'd make a nice meal at home, have some wine, watch a movie. I can't see us going out or anything.

I just had my birthday a few days ago and got a big bouquet of flowers, so I'm very happy with that!

I've made him a book type thing, have a couple of key chains I am going to send with it and a card...I am going to put a "do not open til Feb 14th" on the outside of the book's package, but I doubt he will pay much attention.. I know I wouldn't! LOL Other than that, probably just chat as usual via YM.

Welll I raided the dollar store. God I love cheap gifts, and I tend to hit up the dollar store each and every valentines. lol

As I have mentioned in a previous post, I have started making a claymation movie based on the first time we said "I love you" and how we met. I'm maybe 1/2 way done.. yet have been sooo sooo lazy this weekend that I'm behind!! I really have to finish it today. Come on motivation!

The reason I have to finish it asap is I bought a giant valentines card (1$) (that came with it's own envelope too! Yay for cute mail), and I actually made a fortune cookie out of felt ($1). I'm going to print off the "fortune" with it being the youtube link to the video I'm making. So it's not like I can send off the card to make sure it's there in time, and work on the video after... ohhhh no. It's all gotta be done right away. Gah!! I can honestly say that is one of the things that drives me nuts over LDR's. If you're one day late sending something, you can totally miss the holiday.

Garnet and myself also can't say, as we're another one of those couples with both of us on the forums. :O However I will say that we both have a little something we're making for one another, plus other goodies to send in a box to one another to open on Valentine's Day. We also sent each other a little picture of part of what we're making for one another as a little hint to keep the excitement flowing.

Of course, I still need to finish mine, cause I came up with my idea I thought was absolutely wonderful a little late, and with a new job I haven't had as much time to work on it... >.> But with Michelle and Frank as my witnesses, I will have it done and ready for her to open on Valentine's Day! /nod.
