saying I love you

I tend to say it a lot more than he does. Simply because I will look at him while hes doing something random and just think "Dang I love that boy" However he says it a lot too. I literally can not sleep without telling him I love him before I go to bed even though he was asleep hours before

I used to say it every day when we were LD, but now that we're living together I don't say it often at all. Only saying it random makes it feel more special for me I guess.

unfortunately not yet. i am pretty ready to say it and i dont mind saying it first, but its hinted quite strongly for him that he is not quite there yet. so im patiently waiting.
He has never said "I love you" to anyone (ex gf) before.

I don't mind saying it and not hearing it back, he shows me how he feels in other ways.
I don't say it everyday. Some times I get these intense emotions when I feel like I'll burst of love towards him and then I say it/write it.

It depends on the age of the relationship.

I doubt it has to do with the age of the relationship or the age of the people in this relationship as much as it has to do with the individuals themselves. Some people are perfectly content saying it every once in awhile, some people feel the need to say it every day. I really don't think you can generalize it that much.

We say it whenever we feel like it, which on some days can be often and others not at all. Just really something I don't think about much, it comes as it comes. I like saying it in general though, because I want to make sure I show my honest feelings plenty, especially over the distance.
