I was wondering if it was a difficult process for you all? As I've done my research. I see that us being married (when the time is right) here in America is going to be much easier than the UK.
Originally posted by Shauny View PostIt seems marriage is easier in the US however it also comes down to who can support who the best. My SO doesn't make enough to support me (yet) and tbh I probably don't. But if I got a full time job I could support her here... But getting her here is a long and tiring process. Cmon British government! The US are our biggest allies! Make immigration easier for them just like the EU!
Sometimes I think it is so easy, too easy to travel through Europe when part of the EU, like for people who come to the UK for benefits and the NHS, but at the same time it is a good thing, makes it easy to live and work in Europe for short periods of time, like I went to Austria and Greece when I was younger to be an au pair and I will cherish all the memories of another culture and my day trips in my free time and what I learnt gaining experience looking after children, and the food!Last edited by vicks5721; January 15, 2015, 09:25 PM.

That sounds absolutely amazing! Your love story is beautiful!!!! As I've stated before, well wishes, and abundance of blessings! Cheers to your lifetime together. I'm learning that the distance is painful, but when you lean on that person that much more and share your love and agony of missing them. It's somewhat of a relief. I'll be damn glad when I can spend some more time with my love. Be it in the UK, or be it here in NY.

It always gets to me, that it's soooooo hard for people outside the EU to come here! I don't understand why it isn't easier fir Americans, Canadians or Australians to relocate here, after all these countries are our biggest allies and the culture and language are pretty similar, definitely more so than some European countries that's for sure!
My SO would have to move here to UK as I have children and he doesn't. It's so hard though, I would have to go back to work full time and that is going to create massive child care issues... Once he's here I could go back to part time again but it's messing my employer about to do that. Life is soooooo unfair sometimes, why dies my soulmate have yo be so far awayLast edited by Unicorn26; January 18, 2015, 03:07 PM.
