Hey guys so I need to vent. I know it's probably nothing to worry about, but I haven't heard from my SO in two days. This is kinda strange for him since he usually texts me back right away these days. About a couple weeks ago he tore a ligament in his ankle at work and told me that he may need surgery, and he said that he was gonna go to the doctor on Friday (because the swelling in his ankle has finally gone down) and he would find out how bad the damage in his ankle is. So I'm just guessing that he had his surgery and doesn't have access to his phone due to being hospitalized. But like I really don't know. I hope nothing bad has happened to him, and I just feel really bad somehow because today is our 6 months and I haven't heard anything from him. I'm so worried. Plus I'm already stressed out due to me having final exams starting Monday, so that just adds more stress into this :/ Sorry that this is all over the place. I'm just very emotional right now and it's probably going to end up being nothing to worry about, but I just can't help myself lol.

That scenario could have happend, is phone may have broke, you really never know.
Most likely it is the fact he is in the hospital. I know when i had surgery i didn't use my phone until two days before they let me out of recovery. I'm sure it's fine! Two days isn't that long, but I can understand your concern. I'm sure he's fine, you'll hear from him soon I'm sure! Try to relax (it's hard I know) and focus on your exams.

Generally surgeries aren't scheduled immediately after a visit to the doctors unless it's due to an accident. Even when I broke my arm and my ankle, it had to be scheduled. I would think he would have had time and access to his phone prior to surgery even if they had an immediate opening.
He is a police officer. Things come up and contacting you is not going to be his main concern. It doesn't mean he doesn't love you or doesn't care - it just means he has things that are a higher priority that need to be dealt with. This is how life with him will be like as long as he stays in law enforcement. You'll adjust as time goes on.To those who dream, nothing is ever far away.

Yeah I thought so too, about the surgery I mean. That's why I got a bit confused. Maybe something happened and he can't contact me right away. Its happened quite a few times already so I should be used to it by now lol, but I guess it just depends on my stress level on whether I could take it or not. Thank you! And the only way I could contact him is through Skype and texting. He responds better through texting, since Skype has been so glitchy with us lately, so texting has been our main form of communication. He doesn't have a Facebook either so that's out. He has told quite a few of his friends and coworkers about me but I have no idea who any of them are, and he wanted to wait until I got there for him to tell his family about me. I know how worrying it can be. I went though a stage before where I'd get very stressed if my boyfriend didn't contact me. Now he at least texts me every day or he lets me know in advance if he'll be busy or wants 'me' time. I don't have an issue with it as long as I know he is ok. If I didn't hear from him I would start to worry if something is wrong because the only times he hasn't contacted me with at least a text was when he had a car accident or if his little girl was sick.Engaged Dec 2015!! Y'see it doesn't really bother me too much anymore. It did this time because of my finals making me stress out, and the fact I felt pressed for time calling off work for our visit. He still hasn't given me an exact date yet because he wanted to wait until after he went to the doctor. So yeah I still don't know when I'm going but I went ahead to ask for the last week of May off anyway (because that's when he said would be the best time to visit). If he tells me it will no longer work then that's fine. I can tell my work people to forget about it (thank God I work with very lenient people lol).Originally posted by Ella85 View PostComment

It doesn't bother me as much as it did. But I do worry if he doesn't even send a text. Thats because it is out of character for him, if he normally missed a few days then I'd of got used to it. But it's not something we've done. We don't speak every day but we always message. We did go 2 days once before I first met him and that was awful for me as I have an anxiety disorder so I just worried the whole time.
I'm sure he is fine and just sorting his stuff out. I hope you hear from him soon. As you say it's added exam stress. Just concentrate on those and hopefully you will be visiting him at the end of the month
