Ok, first off, of course lots if guys are looking at her! She's different! When I was in China I was just a super plain white girl and I was stared at and followed lots just because I looked different. It's like a novelty so it'll be noticed. So basically you'll have to realize it doesn't mean much except hey! They noticed she's different. If she constantly bragging about it, that's just a relationship issue you'll have to work through.

As far as money, let me tell you how my SO managed to visit me all the way in China:
He had a terrible job, but he worked it and literally only at canned beans and some protein twice a day to save money on food. Never bought himself anything, and never ate out. He also sold his jeep, and bought a terrible little car because seeing me was most important to him. If there's a will, there's a way. It generally involves tons of personal sacrifice, but it's worth it, Good luck!!!
    Yes!

Also, I'd like to mention that I'm Chinese, and 95% of my family on both sides are as well. My cousins went to Japan, and it was the same thing there. Just because they were American, they were "ooh'ed" and "ahh'ed" over, and all these people wanted to take pictures with them. They thought it was a little weird, but went with it (I saw all the pictures and it made me laugh). When my dad and his best friend/business partner go to China for business, they are attracted to my dad's friend. Not attracted as in, "OH HE'S SO HOT, I WANT HIM", but in the sense that it's because he's white and from America. He's an overweight, middle-aged white man.

So, sometimes those guys that are all over her (which I highly doubt it's just guys) are only interested and fascinated because she's "exotic" to them. Any tourist they see, they leech on because it's fascinating.

Some of the things I do to be able to afford visits:
I buy cheap, but healthy food. I eat a lot of eggs, vegs and "this week's offer" in fish and meat.
      I hardly ever eat out.
I just sold a gold ring.
I don't own a car. I take the bus everywhere.
To socialize I invite people over and make dinner or cakes.
To afford concerts I voluenteered at a music festival where I could sit in. Otherwise I would never spend money on tickets.
This is how I do it all the time. SO was like "you are a girl, surely you spend money on shoes?" Eh, no. I did splurge somewhat in the past, but less and less since I met him. There are holes in my rubber boots (and I live in a rainy city), I am putting off buying new ones because that is 1/4 of a plane ticket. I just bought myself a "new" jacket, it was from a thrift shop.
I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain
