Same! When I'm with him he makes me feel safe and everything is perfect. But when we're apart it's a different story :/ He distances himself from me when something from work upsets him and he just drives me crazy lol. My guy just takes work way too seriously.

I know what you're talking about.. My guy takes work very seriously too. But policemans have to be serious about their jobs, as it's not a simple one. It drives me crazy too, at times, especially since I've known him when he was doing a "normal" 8-5 week job and it was different.

Yup. That's why this is way tougher than your average LDR lol. Not saying that they are all easy but ya know

I don't think there is any LDR that is 'way tougher' than another. Some might say you have it easier as your SO is in the same country as you (I am not saying this - but just trying to make an example). It isn't a competition. LDRs are tough - regardless of distance, jobs, etc. I don't think that anybody can quantify which ones are 'tougher'. They all have their own difficulties

True, but certain occupations do make it tougher. Especially when one's SO works in a dangerous career. Ex. Law Enforcement or Military. Not only do you have to worry about the distance, but you also end up worrying constantly about their well-being in general. And, with all the things going on with the Cops vs. The People in the US, it's scary. Her SO works in Philadelphia, PA, which in itself is a pretty dangerous city. Plus, the district/precinct he works in is not well known to even be a semi-decent area within the city.
