Sorry. I am calling bullshit. I am 5'7 and pretty damn fit, but when you don't work, and end up slowly being controlled by a man who is physically stronger than you, and in most cases this is true, you can't defend yourself.

My ex husbands ex wife was an abuser and guess what,,, she lost custody of her kids and had a restraint no order against her.

Men are the physically stronger sex for the most part. You all can knock the shit out of us and physically harm and rape us etc.

I think that you again, go to an extreme and only see in black and white.

So, You are pretty much accusing me of lying?? When the words 'domestic violence' are uttered for whatever reason, and in whatever setting. The knee-jerk reaction is ALWAYS to think that the male is the perp, and the woman is the victim.

But, When a man calls the cops on a woman, law enforcement(even male officers) laugh in the man's face.

Your ex-husband was lucky that he was even able to get restraining order against his ex-wife. Because men are seen as stronger therefore they shouldn't need a TRO against a woman.

While the statistics are definitely greater for women, where rape is concerned(you mentioned it). Men are also raped.

I go on the extreme........but you never do. Figures you would say something like that.

In a highly covered trial in the 1980's. Betty Broderick was on trial for murdering her ex-husband Dan Broderick and his second wife. He had to get a Temporary Restraining Order against Betty because of the threatening messages she kept leaving on his answering machine. Dan Broderick was lucky he was even able to get a Temporary Restraining Order. Because usually it is the other way around.

The only thing equal(both men and women) in the outcome. Was that Betty violated the TRO. Yes men do it to. But Betty murdered them. So I guess you think all of Betty's actions' were totally, and only, Dan's fault.

Guys, we're getting way off-topic and OP hasn't logged on since the 3rd. This is an extremely sensitive subject, and it would probably be beneficial to everyone if it was dropped. No good can come from arguing over it.
