That really is horrible that they've turned it on him, I remember being in a similar situation once, I really hope the teachers handle it better then mine did. When it became apparent these kids were bullying me, they turned it on me saying I'd said stuff to them too. My teachers knew they were lying, but to be "fair" they sat us in a room together and tried to make us apologize to each other! I point blank refused to, why should I have to be punished when I was the victim?

Like I said, I hope they handle this situation better then mine did, if they practice zero tolerance, they should be doing more than making kids do laps. suspension or something would be more appropriate, though I don't think there is a punishment equivalent to the emotional stress they are putting on your son at the moment. I swear when I have kids, they are banned from the internet- it's good for somethings, but I think it makes kids grow up way more quickly then they should.

Well...after a night of lost sleep...my ex husband handled the situation wonderfully...called his school guidance counselor then spoke to the coach directly.

I worked for this school district for some time...so my name is OUT there....so that helps.

This is the end of it.

All parties involved have been pulled in together...they have apologized to Sam...(ha of course! to save face!)

They could be expelled...BUT it could make it worse for my son in the long run.

I know every parent says it...but my son is like no other. He is the most caring, loving, smart 13 year old you would meet. His Dad told him that when they say mean things to say crap back..

his response? "dad...you don't do that to someone..just because they are like that...it does no good for me to be"...

Yeah..I am proud...and I hate to see him hurt.

I'm so glad it's all sorted Luce, I really really hope this is an end to it.

He sounds like a truly fantastic... I was going to say boy, but I think young man would be more fitting

That's so great! Sounds like his dad handled the situation perfectly

Your son sounds like a wise young man - I wonder where he gets it off?

Parents just wanna keep their kids safe and happy, I know I do and I've tried my best to teach my daughter that bullying is not an option, ever. She really knows it too and her teacher told me the other day that she is always friendly to everyone and never thinks any less of anyone or judges others...

Yes I am proud too, it's awesome being a mommy!

that is so disgusting that kids would do that.

i'm so sorry to hear that this is happening to your kids,

i know this doesn't have to do with me being in a LDR but i have an 11 year old sister, and i am so protective over her and i've had to yell at some of her friends before.. kids can be terrible to each other

I'm glad it's been handled, and tell your son we're all very proud of him and his views. Those will help him go a long way in life.
