To change or not to change?

I took my mothers surname because it's very German and I love showing off my heritage that way. I want to take his name when we marry because it's the traditional thing to do. I would have also liked to keep her surname, but unfortunately that and my BFs surname both end in the same syllable so it will sound very weird together. :/

I won't change my surnames and she won't change her one. This stuff of change surnames when someone get marry doesn't exist neither in my culture or her culture. We always have the same surname, the surname of our ancestors, the whole life. I don't know in what countries the people change the surname, just the english-speaking ones?
