Moving in together.
My SO and I are closing the distance in the spring. The plan as of now is that he will attend law school here, assuming that he is accepted. We should know in two or three weeks. If he isn't accepted at my university, we will both be moving to a new city, which will be decided when he gets all of his acceptances.
We are planning on living apart if he moves here. I'm happy living with my roommates. I live in a nice neighborhood. The cost of living his low here, etc, etc, etc.
However, if we both have to move to a new city, I'm starting to think that we should just live together. We're in a very committed relationship and get along perfectly together. We've never had any problems or been bored or tired of each other, even spending virtually every second together for weeks on end.
Law school is very demanding. Most law students put in upwards of 60 hours a week between class, studying, writing, etc.
I've come up with plenty of pro's and only one con to living together in this situation.
PROS:
Support- Considering the sheer amount of time law students spend with school related things, and the stress level of attending law school, it would be great for me to be able to be there to support him at the end of the day. Just to give him an ear to rant to, or give him a back rub, or whatever.
It Would Make Things Easier For Him- He would have someone there to cook, keep things clean and organized, handle the bills, etc.
Hawt Sex - Self explanatory.
Time For Each Other- One of the biggest complaints in most law school relationships is the lack of time for each other. Living together would give us that time. We'd get to spend time together in the morning, and for dinner, and we would get to go to bed together every night. That would be time that we may not get otherwise.
Financial Feasibility- Being not so wealthy college students, moving to a new city where the cost of living is significantly higher, it would be more financially wise for us to live together and split the bills. We would be able to maintain a better quality of life living together as well.
Company- Moving to a new city where neither of us knows anyone, it would help for us to move in together so that we have company when we need it,
CONS:
Lack of Privacy- If we have a fight, we can't just go to our house, because we'll be there.
