Not exactly trying to lose weight, but would definitely never mind getting fitter and continuing to lose fat. SO said I'm fine physically-don't change! But I would definitely feel bad gaining weight and being a trainer's fat girlfriend. ._.

Being fit is always something I think about before I see my boyfriend. Usually I try to exercise as much as I can when I'm not working or in school, even if it means taking a long walk. And I always try to eat healthy. I have those times when I stress about my weight, but usually once we're together, he always makes me feel good about myself. I like making him feel good about his weight too.

For me it was the oppsite way.
I have lost 12 lbs in the time being apart from my SO until now. Because of missing him so terribly much.
For those who want to loose weight I would recommend eating fresh fruits with yoghurt and oat flakes for breakfast and for lunch anything you would like as far as it includes meat/fish, veggies (a lot) and a bit of potatoes, rice or pasta.
In the evening eat something little like bread (whole grain) with jam, honey or sliced cold meat on top.
Also cottage cheese is very good if you want to loose weight since there arent many calories in! Because the body can not digest the food during the night to 100% so salad and other raw food isnt very good to eat in the evening.

If you are hungry between the meals you could eat fruits, dried figs (good for the digestion) and nuts or drink smooties (check on the backside of the bottle if there isnt too much sugar in it) and drink a lot of tea and water or fruit juices.

I hope that helped you guys a little.
Good luck and a good will in facing it!

Yes, I'm trying to lose weight before I see him and also just to become fit again. I think I have a lot of self-esteem issues linked in with weight and I think that if I try to reach a good weight in a healthy way, that it might also benefit my self-esteem.

I am signing up for yoga once a week and will also try Zumba Toning once a week (has anyone every tried it? I haven't done the regular Zumba, but it looks fun and I thought the toning one would help me shape up faster...I hope I don't mangle myself!). Plus, I am planning to have at least two dance classes a week. Getting signed up for all these classes has been stupidly complicated (a small town and there are rival studios, so I went to the one I went to in high school and then the ballet teacher is really ill and it seems no where else offers ballet at a high enough level/ where I also wouldn't be with willowy teens...but if I jump ship to another studio, it's a bit like burning bridges)...so, the dance classes are still up in the air. I also thought about doing the regular Zumba and Pilates on top of everything else, but I think that might be over doing it (and I don't have enough money for it! Alas!). My SO and I are also doing a fitness challenge which includes everything from drinking more water to doing a set of three types of crunches (in his case, he is very thin and lacks muscle mass, so he has started something called P90X and seems pretty excited about all the exercises, after doing lots of crunches and such for our fitness challenge. I think that I will need to remind him that he needs protein to fuel muscle-building and pester him to eat more!). As for food for me...uh...I really, really could be better about that--even when I try to cut out junk, my portions are still too big or I don't have enough protein (and if I go the other way, I then crave junk food). Alas!

Good luck to everyone with their healthy weight loss or weight gain goals!
