I don't believe in a single soulmate either, but I believe in soul connections. There are people in your life that you meet, and after a while, realize that whatever happens they're going to be with you for the rest of your life. It can be a SO, a best friend, a sister, whatever. My best female friend and I, somehow I just know that even if we go to law school at the opposite ends of the country, study around the world away from each other, we're going to end up going to each other's weddings and being old women on the porch together.
The SO I just broke up with, it feels more like we're only apart in name. I accept the fact that 5, 10, 15 yrs down the line it will turn out that he is not meant to be the one I will end up with. However, I know no matter what we've established a connection and nothing is going to break it.
Do I have words to describe either of these? Nothing better than-they're both comfortable, warm presences in my heart.
