We'll be together for 2 1/2 years in April, the longest relationship for both of us and its been long distance since the beginning. I couldn't possibly imagine life without her, and I feel so blessed to have her in my life!

Me and my SO met almost 7 years ago now, it was a few months before we were more of a thing but a year and a half ago, about 6 years after being apart so long, and with still 3 and a half years of school left at us we thought we might be better off trying to make our own lives where we lived, even though we loved each other so much. Turned out it was a whole lot worse without eachother, his search for a girl he liked there gave no results and i ended up with a guy who i broke up with last year because of how nasty he was being to me. My SO was still with it all through me, though we would only send offline messages over MSN to each other when we got the chance, when i was breaking up with the other feller my SO was talking to me constantly and i was so grateful, and we were back together as soon as that relationship broke off. So much happier now =) and we have a date for the summer this year to meet =D rather than 2 years away. It will be so good to finally be in his arms. I cannot wait at all XDComment

We have been together for 5 years but it's only been LDR for 1 year and 8 months. We started dating in high school and are going to different colleges.Comment

My SO and I have been together for 6 years, and it's been long distance for the entire thing. Though we do spend chunks of time together, I'll go down to see him for a month, he'll come up for a month. We also take vacations together (we went to Jamaica/Mexico together - woo!) But it's still not quite the same as having him around all the time. We have no immediate plans to move in together just yet - too much stuff we both need to get done. However, I am moving to FL this summer for good - though not to where he is, haha! So instead of 26 hours of driving apart, we'll be about 6 hours of driving apart. So close, yet so far!Comment

Haha you'd think so, right? Actually, we both have some seriously short fuses - but mainly with each other lol! As of right now, I haven't seen him since August and I won't be seeing him until June. This is probably the longest that we've gone with out seeing each other and I'm feeling the strain hardcore! Oh my... well, you all have me beat!
I've been in an LDR for 4 months so far... and I think we will be an LDR for maybe another 2-3 years. We both really want to close the gap, since it limits both of us so much. But that is just us.... I know I have a lot of patients but I don't think I could handle an LDR for over 3-4 years, it would make me go crazy. Knowing and feeling so much for someone so far away is one thing but not being to be with them for so long...eeeeesh. I would probably buy the next available plane ticket and fly to them...lol.
