I love flowers and my SO knows which ones are my favorite but I've never gotten any from him. I would love to get flowers at the airport but they would get in the way when i run into his arms and kiss him ;-)

My last trip to see my SO at his house he surprised me with very colorful flowers and hot chocolate from Starbucks It was a total surprise, I loved it! But I don't expect it from him every time, I don't need flowers from him to know that he loves me it was just so nice of him that time!

Haha that was awesome. I actually walked into a flash mob once! I was in Spain walking around and saw all these people dancing. I was like wtf? When it was over and everyone just walked away I realized I had been an observer of a flash mob!

My SO doesn't do the flowers at the airport thing...just seeing him when I cross into the airport is enough for me. He's not the type to do the flowers thing for the most part - though I suspect I will get some for V Day this year. I like flowers and I think they are pretty but I have a black thumb when it comes to flowers and plants so it is better that I not get them

Considering I haven't my my SO yet, I can't really answer your question all that well.
I don't think flowers matter all that much at the airport, but everyone has different tastes.
Personally, I think with long distance relationships, seeing the person again is MUCH better than flowers, haha.
I love flowers, and that's because I rarely get any. I have yet receive flowers from my SO, and he'll be the first guy to ever give me any.
Not trying to pressure him into it here..

I wouldn't know the first thing to do with a bouquet of flowers. I'm a bit of a tomboy who runs out the door in the mornings without brushing her hair, sometimes, because of being late to class!

I like the idea of perhaps a single flower though. :3 Except the first time he tried to buy me a present he bought me a belt(HAHA)...so I'm not sure how likely it is he's going to think of the single flower.

I LOVE getting flowers, well I never received flowers before lol but I know I would like it if I did get them! I just think it's really sweet and generous! But I don't expect flowers, they are just a nice added bonus!! I'm seeing my SO in less than 12 hours now, and I don't expect to get flowers, just to see his smiling face and being able to be in his arms is perfect for me

I'm never one for flowers, but I'm also cheap. Of course it's a romantic gestures but him buying the plane ticket was plenty enough!

Given that I only get to see my SO once a year *shakes a fist at the pacific ocean* seeing him AT ALL brings me more joy than flowers ever could..

I do however, buy them for myself.. whenever I feel like I need a pick-me-up

The one time that I flew out to meet my SO, he had a Starbucks coffee frappuccino ( waiting for me at the airport. My favourite!

He has bought me flowers once. I had had a really bad day at work and was texting complaints to him most of the day. I came home and found him waiting at my door with a bunch of flowers I don't even remember why I'd had such a bad day anymore, just how sweet he was!

My boyfriend's got a thing with flowers... While we were CD I received roses, mixed red flowers, single pink/purple carnations (one time he'd hidden it in a bush on his way to pick me up from school, only to be able to casually "stumble upon" a flower for me on the way home.. haha.. smooth )
...a couple of times he'd even picked me flowers from outside his apartment building and attached them behind my windscreen the night before I'd be leaving for work all grumpy at 6am... just to put a smile on my face

And a couple of times during the first, heartbreaking months of our LDR I suddenly found flowers outside my dorm room... turned out that my BF had joined forces with one of my house mates before leaving - and that he regularly sent her secretive envelopes containing money for carnations and sweet notes for me..
                              Was the sweetest thing ever!

Flowers. I LOVE flowers they're simple, beautiful and can brighten a rainy day, occasion or no occasion... and I've kept most of the ones I've received from him, dried..

But frankly, receiving flowers at the airport when I know that there's no way I'd be able to keep them as we'll have 2 months of backpacking and several security checks and customs ahead of us, would make me a bit sad......

btw. Nicole... that was an epic link^^

aww, Luisina that's amazingly adorable. You're so lucky!

Although, I guess I understand my boyfriend's concern about the gerberas better now. Carnations are total cemetery flowers for me. I'd be seriously freaked out if I recieved carnations from a guy :-/
