Awwwww I'm so sorry to hear this! We are here for you if you need to vent or talk. I'm sure it must hurt that he just decided all of a sudden that he can't handle the distance. My SO did something similar before we became official. We had been talking for seven months and he was supposed to come and visit so we could see how we clicked in person. He was supposed to be here the next week and told me the Mon. before he was supposed to be here that he hadn't bought a ticket that they were too much and he couldn't come! I was really upset and we had a bit of a tiff after that...next thing I know he is telling me that he can't handle the distance that he couldn't do it and he was sorry. I was sooo hurt because we had been doing so well and he was the one that had convinced me that the distance was worth it. I completely understand but one thing that My SO told me recently when we talked about that incident was that he never ever thought that I wasn't worth it. He said he was afraid of the distance and didn't feel like he could handle it and still cared about me. I'm sure your SO probably feels the same way. I hope that he comes to his senses soon. Big hug :-)

I'm so sorry, but remember it probably is not a matter of you "not being worth it" to him. To some people the distance hits that much harder and it hurts so much that they cannot deal with it. I hope things get better!~"Happiness is not the absence of problems but the ability to deal with them"~

I'm so sorry! I was so surprised to see you posting this too. Like everyone else, I hope that he just said it in the heat of whatever moment he was in, and comes to realize that this isn't what he really wants.

I'm really sorry, I know I haven't posted here much but we're all here for you.
I definitely agree it wouldn't be a matter of not being worth it, some people really can't handle the distance.
My guy and I have broken up a few times and I felt the same, I felt like if he loved me enough, if I was worth it he'd battle on like I was but at the time that wasn't the case.
Maybe you're SO is going through some other things in his life which has effected his decision. I hope despite what happens you can find you're own happinessMoney Savers a LFAD group for people to share money saving ideas, tips, links, etc.

Wow, I'm really surprised to hear this, and I'm sincerely sorry
I hope he just needs a little time alone to get his head together, try not to contact him, so he'll have a chance to miss you and see what he's lost. Our separation of each other is an optical illusion of consciousness. ~Albert Einstein

I can't really say anything that others haven't. We're all so sorry. I can't imagine what you must be going through right now. Stay strong and all our thoughts go to you. I hope it was a miscommunication and if it really is the end, that you go on a path that makes you even happier. Clouds are always gray but the sun is always around the corner.
