    I'm going to college!

Hi hi, just thought I'd pop in real quick with some wonderful news. (:

For the many people here that I'm sure don't know me because I'm not very active anymore, I live in North Carolina and my boyfriend of 2 years and 4 months lives in northern Florida.

Well last week, I was accepted to my top college; Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. I'm definitely going, and this will close a huge gap in this LDR. :} We're about 12 hours apart right now - this will bring it down to 5. So I'm thinking that's good for a visit at least every other month compared to the once a year it's been these past two years.

Just thought I'd share. I'm very excited for the move! <3

It's about as far as I live from my own boyfriend. Yes, much easier. Every other month seems about right too since that's how often I see Enrique :P. Woo! Less distance and a future!

Congratulations on both bits of great news! My SO and I are six hours from each other and see each other one weekend a month (each month the Army has a four day weekend), or if I have a week off (love being a teacher!) I go up to stay with him.

Congratulations! When my boyfriend and I were 5 hours apart, we were able to see each other every 4-6 weeks. If you are able to schedule your classes so that you have a 3 day weekend, this makes it easier. The longest we went was 2.5 months without seeing each other. It definitely felt good to know that he was not so far away that if I really, really wanted to jump in the car to see him for a weekend, I could.

Thanks, everyone! I'm glad to hear that people have experienced this relative amount of distance that I'm about to jump into, and that we'll be able to visit each other much more often. (: It's very enlightening and makes me very happy to know.
