My SO and I broke up 2 days ago. We're going to hopefully stay friends, but for the time being we're not talking to each other, to give us both time to heal and move on, and to give him time to study and focus on his exams that are coming up, so he can graduate uni.
The breakup was due to major religious differences, ones that neither of us were willing to compromise or budge on. It is hard that things couldn't work out between us, as he and I had a perfect relationship in every other way, and he pretty much embodied what I want my future husband to be, but I know that it is the best thing for both of us, so I'm not sad about the decision itself.
Anyway, I miss him, but so far I've had tons of support from you guys, my friends, and my family, so I'm doing all right.
And, I don't plan on leaving the forums.... I love seeing how the rest of you folks are faring, and hopefully I can still offer advice and input from time to time. Plus, there's tons of great advice to be had here, and I can hopefully learn and prepare for my next relationship, whenever that comes around.
Thanks for everything this site has been to me.
