I was going to say what Summer already did. If he lied about his mother dying...obviously he sees no future with you, because you can't just take a lie like that back. It's sad, but I think you're better off without someone like that in your life. *hugs*

First of all, do not feel bad for creeping on Facebook. No one can say that they do not do it! I am sure he is probably doing the same to you!
Number two, break or not you both have some sort of history and I am sure if his mom really did pass away you would want to make sure he is okay emotionally.
Third if he is lying then he is a douche and not worth your time and heart. No one should ever lie about their mother passing away. If you are friends with his mom on FB then call him out on it. Ask him how she is still able to post things on it if she passed (BUT only do this if you KNOW for SURE she has passed)!
Say his mother really did pass away then the best thing to do is tell him that you will give him his space and sorry for his loss. When he is ready and if it is ment to be then he will come to you. Just let him know that you love him and understand. If you are really upset try talking it out with him. Being so far awy from each other you have to be able to work things out, the good the bad and the ugly :/ GOOD LUCK!
