Have you manage to surprise your SO with a visit?

Just wondering if anyone has manage to get away with a surprise visit?

I want to try in my next visit to my SO. The thing is I am horrible at keeping surprises from him :P

Has anyone manage to do it successfully?

My boyfriend's college is 6 hours away from mine driving. Well one of my friends offered to drive up and get him to bring him down, which he knew about. However he thought that I couldn't go because I had class, but my friend didn't leave until after my class was over. So I basically surprised him. Seeing the look on his face when I walked into his room was fantastic! It was awesome to surprise him!

I did! Beau's birthday was during my spring break this year, so I emailed his mom and arranged that I would stay with them for five days. I kept telling Beau that I was sorry, I couldn't afford to come see him during my break (I was paying for a trip to Ireland at the time so I truthfully couldn't afford it...) and that I had sent him a package and that was the best I could do. His mom picked me up at the airport and we surprised him at work!

I did. Australia to Canada! Mwahaha. He was so shocked the only word he could say was "What?!" for a full minute.
Happily married to the little Canadian boy I never thought I'd meet in person

I'm hoping to with my next visit Well, he knows I'm coming, but I've told him my flight gets in a day later than it does, haha.
And I'm really hoping that once he and I are closer, it'll be easier to surprise him. I keep picturing him coming home from work, and me sitting in his room waiting for him... but I'll have a very hard time keeping it from him haha. I've already slipped up a few times and been like "Two months until my flight!!" on the right day instead of my decoy day, but he just thinks i'm bad with dates now haha!

I wanted to do that last year.
I had the tickets and I had the perfect plan... and then the stupid airline decided to change the time of my flight for about five minutes and send me an e-mail about it, when I was together with my boyfriend.
I'm too bad at lying and when I got the mail I immediately got worried because I though they had changed something important.

So no surprise visits for us so far.
I might try again later this year, though

Unfortunately I wasn't able to surprise him really. i think the biggest surprise for me "coming to visit" was when I told him that I decided on Shanghai to study abroad. Instead of being 7500 miles away I was only 320km! I did want to surprise him, but unfortunately, the weekend that I wanted to do it was his roommates birthday and his roommate had a strict no girls policy for it.

I really want to, but I don't know how I would go about it, we talk all day long and if I do it, I'd have to go quiet for like 20 something hours (we live in different countries) lol so he'd figure it out straight away

Thats what I want my SO to be like if I can pull it off

I really want to try and do it! I can imagine just going to his work and being all like "oh hai" *flicks hair casually*

I am thinking only a day earlier or maybe coming a couple of hours earlier..the thing is the last time I saw him in June I manage to get a earlier flight but I was so excited I had to tell him! I am really bad at keeping secrets lol

We've never done a surprise visit before. I don't think surprise visits are really an option for us because of financial issues.
