    What To Do When...

Hmm I don't know what to do when I'm not talking to my SO, it gets boring and quiet in my house which I hate. I get kind of bored and I refuse to sleep. What do you guys do when you're not talking to your SO?

randomly surf the web and attempt to keep myself busy

Well, sometimes I distract myself by watching random shows, sometimes work on my book... Alex pushes me to do creative things and he's always so happy when I have a new chapter to send him or a doodle to show so it's worth it to do something to show him next time we talk.

Surf the net, talk on msn, watch videos, listen to music, read, write on forums, edit pictures, read blogs...

Well I want to do Photo Manipulation especially this piece I have been dreaming on but I have no models which is bothering me. Other than that, I can't seem to do anything because he's on my mind, I can't even surf the web anymore

i ALWAYS say im going to do coursework or something when we dont talk, never happens, i just end up watching videos, surfing the net or sleeping.
perhaps you could go out with friends, anything, i always think if i get out the house even if its just for an hour the time flies by faster.
but i found that watching box sets and series of programmes passes the time.

I continue my every day life . . with my husband and son . . I attend college, and I'm an information junkie so I research things to death.

Homework, write lesson plans! Surf the web, read, paint/draw, put together packages for the SO, work on our scrapbook, listen to music....

Pick up a hobby. OR I like cooking for the fam and testing things out on them to try an cook for th SO next time I go.

Usually I try to continue on with my life normally. I try to get my homework done, so I'll be free when he gets home. I do things that I enjoy such as video games or reading. But sometimes when my SO is busy, I feel lethargic, and none of the things I usually like seem appealing. I've found that doing something for my SO or for us during that time is a good way to get me motivated. I love sending him random presents and packages. Putting together a care package can take up quite a bit of time, so it's a good project to work on ^^ He also loves my singing (it's horribly, so I don't know why :P), so I record myself singing songs that we like (or just funny songs) and email them to him when he's having a bad day.

Like xsomanymilesx said, going through a tv series is a good way to make time fly. My SO loves The Office, so I started watching it in my free time. Now that I'm caught up, I can watch the new episodes with him every week ^^

Write your SO a letter (the kind with a pen and paper). You can have fun decorating the stationary and trying out fancy handwriting or making illustrations.

Bury myself in homework, or if it's stressful... I clean the house like no ones business.
