    "Would you ever...?"
Well, of course I would. If it went terribly wrong, of course I would.
I suspect this question needs narrower parameters in order to be meaningful.

If he and I had to go through the LDR without knowing when we would be able to close the distance, for years without end, I might have considered the possibility of giving up on it.

But we found a way, because we both wanted it to work.

      Its like my signature says:

"If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you'll find an excuse."

"You know that feeling when you're playing black jack? The gut feeling when you know you just have to go for it, no matter the risk? It's like, you have a queen and a 7, and all you need is a four to win. And the dealer has 20. So you have the dealer, deal. And that card is the exact card you need. And you win the jackpot. You, baby, are my jackpot. I would rather take that risk, and be with you, than to ever throw us away."

I have to say, that is best way I have ever thought of looking at an LDR. :]

      awww, that is sweet!!!

If there was absolutely no hope of us ever being close distance, I would end it. But we have a plan so I wouldn't!

        Became a couple: March 17th, 2010
Started our college long distance relationship: August 2011
Surprise engagement in Disneyworld! : March 22nd, 2013
Closed the distance: May 2nd, 2014
Became his wife and started our happily ever after!: May 17th, 2014

          Yes.

If there were no plans to close the distance in what I think is a reasonable amount of time (a few years) I would end it, even though it would break my heart. When I hear of people who plan to wait 5 plus years I'm always shocked - as much as I love my boyfriend, I can't imagine doing that. Those people have a willpower I don't have.

I would NEVER give up on Chris no matter how painful the distance is. I can't even imagine doing that

no, because i believe that we met for a reason, and i won't give upon him, because i love him and i know he do too.
we met almost 3 years ago, and we had beautiful things between us, so why giving up when there's still hope and faith..

Yes, if I feel we are not compatible or if there is not chance for us to CD. LDR is like any relationship..if the love is not there, regardless of distance, I will give up and move forward.

If you both love each other and have the will to fight through and against all the obstacles then yes the LDR is worth fighting for.

This puts it perfectly. I would give up an LDR for the same reason I would give up a CDR. It's not about how close you are, it's about the connection you have with your partner.
