Something you always smile about....

So many people here stressing and worried about their relationships that I thought it would be fun to name some things that your SO has done or said that make you smile remembering them. Not necessarily romantic things, but just sweet things with a heavy "awwwww" factor or funny things that caught you offguard

I have two right off the top of my head, though there were so many "awww" things he said and did when we were LDR that it would take forever to list them. Most of you know that we have a pretty big age gap with us... 17 years with him being 26 and me being 43...I graduated high school the year after he was born O.o This worried me at first but as we grew in our relationship it was less and less of an issue, and today it's completely a non-issue. But one funny thing he said was the first time we met, we were laying cuddled up forehead to forehead, nose to nose just "being" and I whispered to him "Why did it take you so long to find me?" To which he very seriously and quietly replied "I couldn't get a day pass from high school." O.O Yes I giggled.... and then tackled him for being a smartass lol

The other thing he's done was just the other day on facebook and caught me off guard. We met online on Christmas Eve... and wound up spending all night together in the game and by the time the evening was done, we were a couple and very firmly together even though nothing sexual happened, just hours and hours of talking and realizing that we had each found a soulmate. We didn't know exactly what we were going to do with it at that point but we both knew there was something very special about us meeting and it was obvious to everyone that witnessed it that something momentous had happened. In any case, the other day he posted a video link to "Breakdown" by Seether and said "Song used to speak to me.... up to about Christmas Eve.. love you honey" Yes, I "awwwed" and was impressed that he remembered it was actually Christmas Eve lol I joked for the longest after meeting him that Santa gave me a wolf puppy for Christmas (his online name referenced "wolf") that year and to be honest, it will be very hard to top that Christmas present -ever- <3

So what cute or funny things has your SO said to you that when you think back on them, really makes you smile or giggle... or want to tackle them for being a smartass in a very cute way?

By far one of my favorite memories was when I was visiting him. We were at the beach and had just went to eat dinner. He had to go back to the restaurant for some reason and I just sat in the room waiting for him to get back. When he came back he had picked a bouquet of flowers for me. (tropical flowers are abundant) It was so unexpected and sweet.

Before he moved to stay with his mom we went on " vacation " house sitting our friends pets while they were away. We had the house to ourselves for a week it was amazing for both of us he said Ily more in that week than he had in months we both got to get away from our stresses and be with one another.

Well my SO and I are normally a close distance relationship and he has done A NUMBER of nice things for me like surprising me with Rihanna concert tickets, taking me to Minneapolis and paying for EVERYTHING...I'm a spoiled girl. But during our LDR he unfortunately wasn't around for my birthday which was upsetting to me because I am a child when it comes to birthday's I love cake, games and presents! So I was surprised when he sent me flowers, a balloon, a teddy and a little message that read

"Happy Birthday from the one who loves you dearest!!!!!! You have a great 20th birthday and just know I'll be celebrating (quietly) today!! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO Love, Brian XOXOXOXOXOXOX"

It was so sweet, my heart truly melted. As well he used Blackberry Messenger to create a group conversation and invited all of my friends (our friends) and he got them all to wish me a happy birthday at exactly 6pm, so my phone was just being blown up with synchronized "Happy Birthday wishes" He's such a sweetie pie. c:

Theres so many. Im going to list a few lol sorry. Before he was here and we met, he does alot of super sweet things. We would both be on but not really talking, but it sayss "Nathan is typing" for the longest time, then when i see it its this sweet romantic poem or love note. For no reason other then to let me know he loves me. Or when for no reason just because i hadn't heard his voice in awhile made me a 10 minute long video just talking to me. Which was so special and something i really needed at the time. He's done alot of things, or telling me to chec my mailbox and when i did finding a ring! lol

Then when he was here we had so many moments. I remember us being on the bed, just wrestling just trying to push the other one off lol he kept pushing me off... but i did get him once! and when it was close to him going home, we were walking in China town in San Francisco. And he just stops, and comes back with a coin that says i left my heart in San Francisco. He's done a ton of things, but the little things make me smile, and just appreciate how good he is to me.

The cutest thing my SO has ever done, that made me almost cry with laughter was when we were on webcam one time, and he was hiding under his blankets on the bed. He kept disappearing underneath them, then re-emerging crying "Peekaboo I see you!" whenever he saw me and I swear, it's the single most hilarious and totally cute thing I've ever seen in my life. I took a picture of him sleeping too once, then showed him afterwards. He blushed brick red, and I burst out laughing. It was one of the cutest things I've ever seen too

For Valentine's Day this past year (our first Valentine's day as a couple and our first apart), he sent me a dozen yellow roses, my favorite color. On the card he sent with it, he wrote I love you in Russian, my second language. My heart melted when I read that he put Russian on there. It was so sweet knowing that he cared and remembered what I taught him.

My favorite memory would be when he came to visit and I was in my room doing something and he was out in the living room and turned on the song "Marry Me" by Train. I poked my head out of the room and saw him standing there and instantly had a huge smile on my face =). We slow danced to the song and shared a nice long kiss together. He wasn't able to be at my Senior Prom and promised me we would share a dance together so this was so perfect and I'll never forget it =)

Ugh! I forgot about the other night! We talked on the phone, as always, and he was really tired so he went to bed. I stayed up and was watching a movie when he called back. He told me he couldn't fall asleep without me and figured that hearing my voice would help him fall asleep. So, I talked to him until he fell asleep 10 minutes later when I could hear him snoring lightly. It was the cutest thing ever! It made me so happy that he called back because he couldn't fall asleep and needed me.

I'm having a hard day and miss my SO particularly more today than usual... so I'll say one that won't make me cry as much!!
I talk a LOT and my SO loves it. I know a bunch of random crap, and will sometimes ramble quite a bit. My SO will just look at me and smile while I ramble, and then when I notice, I'll say "What??" And he'll pull me in and say something like "I love that you never shut up!!" Hahaha

I was crying a few days before I was to leave to come back home and I ran upstairs balling my eyes out and he just came up and looked at me sincerely and said " Who loves you ? " And I just looked back and said " You " He always knows the perfect words to say to cheer me up.

He wrote me a letter the night I was to leave also, and he was planning on hiding it in my backpack so I'd find it on the way home but I came in on him writing it ( to which he wrote in the letter the exact moment that happened too which I thought was adorable ) and so he gave it to me to read. I read through it at least 6 times on the bus ride home.

He is always so cute! It is hard to think in a specific thing because he have done so many awww things for me. He send me flowers and chocolates like a million times hehehe He always sorprises me with fance dinners and spa days But I think one of the more cute things is that when we where CDR he used to go with me to my consulate every time I had to go, it sounds simple but going to the Venezuelan consulate is a nightmare and you lose almost the whole day there just waiting, so it is a big sacrifice that he does so I don't have to go alone

The last time I left I caught him writing a note a couple of days beforehand..when I arrived into LA and was checking through a book I found he had written a letter about us and our relationship and how strong we are together hom.

When we haven't talked in a while (ie 3-4 days ) as soon as we start talking on ft or skype we talk in baby talk for about a minute. Its a wee bit cute.

Most of my "aww" moments are video game related since we basically spend all our time together on xbox.
When we play multiplayer games where you can pick characters that have a significant other in the game, he always chooses the guy who is married/in a relationship in the game so that when I figure it out, we can be a couple (he always tries to hint at it if I don't know lol). It's cute
And then like when we play zombie games, he won't leave my side during the game so that he can protect me in the game, and if we get separated, he freaks out and starts running around in the game trying to find me lol
I'm such a nerd, but those kinds of things make me smile <3
