My SO and I were talking the other day the subject of favorite music came up. I was just wondering if any of ur SO's musical tastes vary a lot from urs?

LOL.
He loves Muse. I dislike Muse. But that's about it. I think we'll both pretty much listen to anything, though I'd say I listen to more country than he does. :P{ Our Story on LFAD }

We have pretty similar taste in music, generally! He doesn't listen to music as obsessively as I do haha. However, he likes Evanescence and Nickelback. I can tolerate Evanescence, but Nickelback disgraces my country

Ugh we are compleeete opposites..
I enjoy bands like Nine Inch Nails, Sublime, 311, rock for the most part. The stuff you'd hear on rock radio stations.
He likes hard core heavy metal, screamy stuff, RAP!?!? To make it better he loves his subwoofers so when we are together I'm forced to listen to his wonderful music full blast
Gotta love him!

We overlap quite a bit, because we both have a broad range of music we listen to. But then he's really into trance which I just don't get, even if I like electronic music myself. I know that when we come across something new, chances are he's going to like what I also like, but it won't be the same the other way round. And I really do think my taste is superior to his. Totally a snob *looks guilty*
But I don't think it's important for our musical tastes to match.

We have completely different musical tastes!
I like pop-y, loud show tunes and some electro and dance; while he loves dubstep and japanese pop. So when we're together we just alternate song choice! Or i blast my music until he tickles me and changes it

He likes good songs. He doesn´t like music by style or artist or anything, just if he hears a song and he likes it, then that´s what he likes... (That was a rambling trip to nowhere)
I like EVERYTHING. I can´t think of any music I don´t enjoy. So because of that, I´ll listen to any of his music. However, I do have moments where I´ll go "LETS LISTEN TO *Insert obscure or despised-by-the-general-public song here*" and he just facepalms at me...

My SO and I have pretty much similar taste in music, at least that's what I know so far. We have songs that we both like. He likes Persian pop and classical music, and thanks to him I've started to like them too. I remember in one of our first chats he sent me one of his favourite songs, kind of like an acoustic type of music. Unfortunately I didn't like it. :P
I like almost all types of music as long as it pleases my ears and soul, especially 80s and 90s music.

We like a couple of the same bands but not many. I love the fact that we like different music because we can share our favorites with each other. My boyfriend's into classic rock and reggae, whereas I like oldies, punk rock, ska and screamo. He recently got me into The Expendables and I'm in love with them"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love " ~ Theodore Seuss Geisel.

I don't listen to a lot of music, but I know a lot of pop songs just because I hear them so often. He is very into music and likes specific genres and artistes. I like some and dislike others, but we're both pretty open so we haven't gotten into any conflicts about music.

Nope, our music tastes are extremely similar which is funny because he likes a lot of girly music most guys hate as well as the metal/rock stuff so I don't feel bad when I want to get my girly jag outta the way before starting my usual hardcore music. We're pretty much two peas in a pod when it comes to musical interests
