We're both from the US but in different states and time zone.

I'm in the Australian Capital Territory.
He's in Alabama.
We started seeing each other Close Distance when he was here on holiday, fell in love and he decided to stay, but it didn't quite work out for him, so he had to temporarily go back home while he gets a better plan together to make the move work. We've been Long Distance since November last year, and I just came back from a three-week visit about a month ago. It's not ideal, but we make it work better and more easily than either of us expected to. We miss each other like crazy, but maintaining our connection and the strength of our relationship hasn't been anywhere near as difficult as we'd feared. We stay in each other's lives, keep our fires burning strong for each other, and comfort ourselves by knowing that it's not forever. He's coming here to visit for Christmas.
